[Question #11836] Heroes Risk

At the beginning of the year I tested negative for HSV 1 & 2 via pcr test. In the first three months of the year, while intoxicated I had sex with three women without protection while intoxicated (I’m no longer drinking and have since been abstinent). Each of these happened only once. I know with some of them I asked if they’d been tested, and anyone I asked said yes and they were negative. I didn’t ask what they’d been tested for. Ive been tested for everything else regularly, but I’m wondering what my herpes risk is, without symptoms and diligently checking for them, and what steps I should consider.

I'm confused - you were tested via PCR from a swab test?  Were there lesions present?  Or are you saying that had a PCR blood test?  If that is the case, that is an error.  HSV is not going to be found in blood, if this was a blood test, it should have been an IgG test or a herpes western blot.  Can you clarify please?

My apologies, I received an igg blood test. I have never had any symptoms of oral or genital herpes.

It's difficult to say what the risk is without knowing if the partner is infected with HSV 1 or HSV 2 or both or not at all.  Any more info about that?
