[Question #11858] Symptoms vs Anxiety w/Massage

Thank you for all you do, I spent 1-2 hours reading other replies but as I’m sure many do I needed to ask my own for my own mind.
9 days ago received a massage, happy ending ensued. Oil used. To be specific she did my back/backside first with oil, cleaned me, on the flip did touch me on my penis lightly WITHOUT oil, asked if I wanted oral or hand and I said hand.
I did hear her behind me squirt more
Oil onto her hand and then proceed until finish.
No oral, no body rub, I did not see her use any of her saliva and feel confident she didn’t touch herself, all clothes stayed on.
As I know your answers are extremely consistent the few main questions I have are as follows. Forgive me for my mind!
1) is the risk for this still basically 0 for anything std related
2) 1-2 days later I noticed what looked like a small pimple on shaft- tried to pop and is now, 9 days later, a small scab - I assume it was a clogged pore from the oil
3) I do feel like over the next few days I may have had to urinate a bit more frequently, felt a bit of a discomfort upon starting to pee but that has subsided. Is that most likely due to anxiety and potentially even a reaction to the oil? No discharge or weird smell
4) I have had a slight discomfort in pubic area, like a dull ache, for last few days. Almost tender to touch but I also run very long distances then sit all day for work so I figure it could be my shorts and waist band pushing into that area.
Thank you again.

Welcome to the Forum. Thanks for your questions, as well as for reviewing other threads on the site. We make them available for educational purposes and so that clients can often find that their situations are not unique.
The encounter you describe did not put you at risk for any STI, including HIV. Even if some of her genial secretions may have gotten onto you or your skin, there is still no risk. Further, lubricants used for massage, including not only oils but even saliva are non-infectious. Regarding your specific questions:
1) is the risk for this still basically 0 for anything std related
Correct. All that you describe was entirely no risk
2) 1-2 days later I noticed what looked like a small pimple on shaft- tried to pop and is now, 9 days later, a small scab - I assume it was a clogged pore from the oil
I would assume the same thing. 1-2 days is really too soon for an STI-related lesion to appear. Sometimes when oil is used for lubrication it can clog pores
3) I do feel like over the next few days I may have had to urinate a bit more frequently, felt a bit of a discomfort upon starting to pee but that has subsided. Is that most likely due to anxiety and potentially even a reaction to the oil? No discharge or weird smell
Urinary frequency in not a sign of STI but can be a sign of anxiety. While I am confident that you are not at risk for any STI, some of our clients find that the results of a negative urine tests are helpful in relieving anxiety. From a medical perspective there is no need to test but of course, other than the time and any associated cost, there is no down side to testing if it would make you feel more comfortable
4) I have had a slight discomfort in pubic area, like a dull ache, for last few days. Almost tender to touch but I also run very long distances then sit all day for work so I figure it could be my shorts and waist band pushing into that area.
Agree
I hope this information and perspective is helpful. EWH

Thank you doctor.
I won’t ask the same questions again - I know that can drive you nuts!
Last follow ups
1) I did have unprotected sex with a significant other about 28 hours post the encounter - confirming nothing to stress about for her there?
2) confirming you don’t feel the need to test at all
3) I saw many posts where you said in all your years you still haven’t seen any STD transmitted once through hand to genital exposure
4) safe to move on mentally in your opinion and be over it!
This will conclude my questions, again God bless and thank you

Apologies, I know this is also my 3rd question and will be done!
I did also want to confirm - along with the above follow up message - that nothing that I was concerned about would be causing the pubic area discomfort that I have and that it is most
Likely unrelated!
Thank you

Actually- you still have one follow-up if needed. You get 3 replies :).
1) I did have unprotected sex with a significant other about 28 hours post the encounter - confirming nothing to stress about for her there?
Correct. You are in the clear
2) confirming you don’t feel the need to test at all
There is no medical or scientific reason to test
3) I saw many posts where you said in all your years you still haven’t seen any STD transmitted once through hand to genital exposure
Not only have either of never seen such a case but we've not heard of one either
4) safe to move on mentally in your opinion and be over it!
Yes sir
Correct, any pubic discomfort you are experiencing is due to something other than an STI.
Take care. EWH

I’ll use my last follow up to just re confirm that the dull ache that has been on and off in my pubic / pelvic area is unrelated to anything STI given that you said I had a 0 risk encounter!
Same with any sort of discomfort when peeing. I know that could also be due to hydration / anxiety
Thank you again.

You are correct that your encounter was zero risk and that the pubic ache you describe is not a typical symptom of any STI.
As for the sensation you are experiencing during urination, it is common that when persons are looking for symptoms there is a tendency to feel and notice otherwise normal sensations that are usually overlooked. I would not worry.
As I mentioned, perhaps it would be comforting to get a urine test for Gonorrhea and chlamydia. Many of our clients find this to be the case.
Closing the thread shortly. EWH
