[Question #12027] Reducing risk of transmission to seronegative partner &

Just had the talk after we both were tested for everything. I have a positive HSV result , all his tests are negative.
Not sure he will accept me now.
Mentioned meds that reduce transmission risk.
I'd like to know if you have any encouraging clinical experience with happy discordant couples who follow measures to reduce transmission and how they manage that...specifically what's the risk of transmission and how do we mitigate it?

This is a followup to a previous question where it was recommended that I get tested again b/c I could not remember all the details of my dxg in 2001 .and I haven't had signs & symptoms in over a decade. I could not remember if they did a culture and back then my HSV type antibody tests IgG/IgM changed over time. In any case. I got tested for everything and asked that my potential partner do the same before intercourse.
Does anyone know how likely it is to transmit HSV with skin contact ...no oral or vaginal sex but laying on top of one another naked for less than 2 minutes? No grinding. This is my follow-up to mitigation of the risk of transmission.

Well, first of all, we know there are many false positives on the IgG and worse, IgM. What was the index value of your positive result and was it for HSV 1 or HSV 2? And what is your gender? I am assuming that you are female. If yes, then laying on top of one another naked for less then 2 minutes without grinding is not a risk for HSV transmission.
These questions are very important in helping me guide you through your concerns.
