Hi Doctor, during 2023-24 I had interactions with escorts and very recently stopped that in July. However I never got tested after and I am trying to get testing done to ensure my future partners do not worry about my sexual health. Could you please suggest all tests I should go for? I currently do not feel any symptoms as such. Could you also suggest any testing centers or testing packages so it does not cost me a lot. I am very new to this and not sure of tests I should go for.

Welcome to our forum. Thank you for your questions. I’ll be glad to comment. The most important tests that you could have include blood tests for HIV and syphilis and, assuming that your exposures we’re primarily genital in nature, a urine test for gonorrhea and chlamydia. Gonorrhea and chlamydia are among the most common STI and syphilis and HIV are the STI that have the greatest consequences for person who had infection. I would not advise testing at this time for other STI such as herpes and there in no need to test for HPV as most people have it and it is of little consequence.

I am not sure where you are writing from however, if you are in North America or Western Europe, as well as many other countries around the world, there is high-quality, inexpensive testing available at public health clinics.

I hope this information is helpful to you. EWH.
