If I am female on 500 mg Valacyclovir, with genital HSVI & HSVII. What are the risks and protective measures for oral, or vaginal sex, anal play, with male partner with or without condom?

so sorry I missed this question!
Are you sure you have both types genitally? You've had positive swabs for both types from the genital area?
Condoms reduce transmission from women to men by about 65%, antiviral treatment daily as you are taking reduces transmission by 48%.
We simply don't have data on the reduction of transmission via oral sex. If you know for certain that your HSV 1 is only genital, then you giving oral sex to someone is not a risk.
Can you elaborate on your diagnosis please?

Yes, I’m pretty certain my ob-gyn gave me this information four years ago when she tested for all STI’s. I have not been swabbed for oral HSVI, but I will do that. I am in a relationship with a man who has oral HSVI only. He wants to know his percentage chance of contacting HSVII from me. For example: if he gives me oral sex, we engage in kissing in between, I give him oral sex, then we have genital to genital sex. Is there a way to estimate transmission using condoms and daily antiviral treatment?

So HSV 2 has a strong preference for the genital area so unlikely that someone would acquire it orally but no a zero risk. and if he did acquire it orally, it would look just like his cold sores but recur far less often, if ever. the scenario that you describe is extremely unlikely to result in transmission beucase so much virus would be lost in between those stops.
Do you have outbreaks? If not, I think you should get confirmatory testing (also because the testing used gives false positives.)

Unfortunately, I do get a mild outbreak whenever I stop the Valacyclovir for several weeks, sometimes longer. I get prodrome symptoms, then a single lesion. I stop the antiviral every couple of years as a sort of test, hoping that I won't have symptoms or an outbreak. Thank you for your thoroughness and for the helpful information. I will pass it on to my partner.
