[Question #12048] So ashamed. I forgot the biggest question I had

Dear Docs, I am so upset to be back. I know I had made a couple of different accounts from back in the day because of forgotten passwords. I’m so sorry. This last question comes from #4202. My girlfriend at the time had wrote to y’all about my situations in 4152 and 4159… just to sum it up so you don’t have to dig through them. I had taken a couple of Oraquick oral swab hiv tests and they were negative during the read time , however I kept them and the next days they showed somewhat of overdevelopment. Dr Hook told me that my Oraquicks were still negative and that overdevelopment is meaningless and does NOT represent infection. He also said my follow up negative 4th generation HIV tests was all I needed to prove I was HIV negative. And he told me that my Oraquicks were not falsely positive tests. The only thing I need to ask is that in question #4202 , Dr HHH wrote “ The oraquick result is to be entirely ignored, period. CDC is correct: the antigen-antibody (4th generation) HIV tests are the conclusive final test method and if enough time has passed, the result overrules any and all previous results, including a possibly false positive ("overdeveloped") oral fluids test.”All I need to know Dr HHH , is when you put (“overdeveloped”) in parentheses , all you were doing was saying that my tests were just overdeveloped. I got scared because I thought you were saying mine were a ( possibly false positive )…. I know my oraquicks could not have been possibly false positive because they were negative in the read time that you are supposed to get your results. I just needed to make sure … Counseling won’t let me let this go unless I hear it from you. Please and thank you

I promise on everything. I’ll never be back. Please just let me know I am right and you were not saying my tests were
“ possibly false positives “ and that you were just saying they were overdeveloped when you put
( “overdeveloped”) in parentheses….which is meaningless and does not represent infection. I’m so sorry I’m mad at myself for forgetting to ask you this the other day. No more questions ever. I swear.

Because you claim that your counselor wants to see it I’ll provide a single response.
You have summarized the situation accurately. Your overdeveloped OraQuick should be ignored. Believe your 4th generation tests results. They are conclusive. Ignore your OraQuick results. You do not have HIV.
No responses or follow up will be answered. EWH
