[Question #12076] Crabs

Hello last week I had a lap dance, she wasn't wearing any pants or underwear, I was wearing pants but no underwear. About 5 minutes of grinding, no sex or oral or anything. On the way home I felt itchy so I itched myself pretty hard through my pants.

Next day I shaved didn't get it all but most of it is maybe a centimeter or two. I ended up getting a rash on my scrotum, really itchy and I didn't really get the hairs there. On day 5 I got some CVS all in one shampoo it has the pipernyall one or whatever idk it starts with piper. Left it for ten minutes washed bed and clothes and pillow cases. Did the treatment next day as well to be sure. I haven't seen any eggs or moving crabs at all but the rash hasn't gone away so using jock itch spray I think it's lightly working.

Today in the space between my thigh and groin  ya know like where your leg begins from your waist I noticed small red dots where my hair is, pretty itchy but no visible lice or eggs. A lot of dry skin on my scrotum as well

The itching comes and goes, the place between my thigh and groin pretty new I'm not sure if it's late shaving burn but apparently I didn't do a good job there is still scraggly hair.

Oh good grief. Again? A comment in your most recent previous question said you "like how irritated you guys get...." That good, because we're in the same space again. Your previous two threads both addressed your unrealistic beliefs or fears about exposures and symptoms that are obviously meaningless, and that the large majority of sexually active persons realize are nothing to worry about. Lap dances are free of STD risk; no infection can start to cause itching or any other symptom within minutes or hours (24-36 hours is the minimum); no STD causes scrotal skin rash; and red dots of the skin also are meaningless in relation to your sexual exposure. It takes at least days and probably usually a couple of weeks for crab lice to start to cause symptoms. And of course nobody ever got any STD from sitting on someone's bed!

You have neither crabs nor any other STD and I will have no other comments. If your symptoms continue or you remain concerned, see a doctor. But if any of this has any relationship to the non-exposure events you describe, it is psychological in origin.

Alright I thought lice could stick to clothes or latch on she wasn't wearing clothes and ya know lice seems to be easily transmissible in people's heads so I figured grinding in an area where someone had it would have similar results. My mistake and messaged received I'll chill out, all the best

Crab lice infestations are not "easily transmissible," at least no longer. The frequency of infestation is dramatically down the last couple of decades. Before then we saw several cases a week in my STD clinic. Now we see the same number in a year. The reason is pubic area shaving. Without pubic hair, the lice cannot populate that part of the body. (This was even addressed on Jon Stewart show several years ago, in a very funny episode about species endangerment due to crab lices' loss of habitat.)

In any case, it takes days or weeks for lice to latch on to the hairs and start feeding; and it's only then that allergic reaction to their saliva starts to cause itching. That's a couple weeks down the line.

Understood, she wasn't shaved at all and quite hairy and I wasn't shaved either until the day after but I was wearing pants during everything even if she wasn't and it's quite clear IDK what idk what I'm talking about given the no direct genital to genital skin contact, if it's that rare these days and given it's not possible to even have symptoms of this very unlikely scenario or even ignorantly making you entertain it I'll just stay off the Internet. I do overthink and I definitely do have a rash and I itch like hell but its not STD related and I should just have a doctor look at it. Probably prolonged razor burn from doing an aggressive or shitty job or something.

Your partner's pubic hair grooming doesn't change anything. You have misunderstood my main point on this:  the overall frequency of crabs is way down because so many shave; crabs is now much rarer in everyone. In any case, as I described above, pubic lice cannot cause the symptoms you have described. Yes, you overthink everything. Try to stop. In any case, the forum is not open to repeated, anxiety driven questions. This being your third reflecting your irrational fears of STD and over-interpretation of symptoms, it will have to be your last along these lines. Such questions are subject to being deleted without reply and without refund of the posting fee. This policy is based on compassion, not criticism, and is intended to reduce temptations to keep paying for questions with obvious answers. In addition, experience shows that continued answers tend to prolong users' anxieties rather than reducing them. Finally, such questions have little educational value for other users, one of the forum's main purposes. Thanks for your understanding.

I do hope these discussions help you understand that you are simply not at risk for STDs unless and until you start having real sex. Good luck.
