[Question #12114] Realistic testing results

Hi Dr,
Continuing from my last post, i did a p24combination hiv test at 18 days post possible exposure, then i did a finger prick antibody test at 31 days, both were negative, would these results be a strong indication or are they just too soon?
I’ve has an ulcer on the roof of my mouth for the past 7 days now but that’s almost healed, and I’ve had a pressure/mild headache for the past 5 days. Should i be concerned about this?
All this is just a probability that more occurred than i first thought, but not a definite as i was intoxicated.
Finally on a different note, I received a happy ending from a massage today and just as i was about to cum she put the tip of my penis just inside here mouth whilst i was cuming, this lasted about 5 /10 seconds absolute maximum, she licked my penis tip as i withdrew. This was the only contact from this exposure. Does this warrant any testing for any std’s and blood bourne virus’s?
Should i be concerned at all about today’s exposure? I’m concerned about my regular partner .
Thank you

Welcome back to the Forum. The testing you have done proves that your headache and mouth ulcers are not due to HIV. When symptoms are present, tests for HIV are always positive.. On the other hand, neither test was taken at a time when they conclusively confirm that you did not get HIV from the virtually no risk encounter we discussed several weeks ago, 4th generation tests are more than 98% conclusive at 28 days and entirely conclusive at 6 weeks. Most finger stick tests look only for antibodies and are not conclusive until 8 weeks following the encounter.
I would have no concerns about the encounter today that you describe. EWH

Thank you Dr for your prompt response !
So, would either of my tests or both provide any significant reassurance? I’ve read the p24 at 18 days is quite possibly long enough to show up ?.
How many people would test positive at 18 days regards to the p24antigen in your experience?
Also the episode today was a thai sex working over here in the uk , albeit I only had the massage and the surprise ending which I’ve explained. So are we saying no risk from today’s very brief exposure.
Can I continue sex with my regular partner ?
Thank you as always

No. See my comment above. Your comment about the p24 antigen at 18 days sounds like internet misinformation.

Limited data. No more than half

Correct

Final thought!
1/.Could mouth ulcers and headaches be a possible symptom of early hiv symptoms? Have you came across such?.
Ive had a duo test done today and will get the results back on Thursday. I fully understand that a negative result will put this episode to bed.
2/. Todays exposure as I’ve said, i put my bare penis in the sex workers mouth for 5/10 seconds whilst I was ejaculating, so this poses zero risk ?
I just want to be absolutely sure I’m not going to pass anything on!
The time frame is not an estimate, it was 100000% maximum 10 seconds and the little suck/lick on withdrawal.
Thank you once again

As you know, we provide up to 3 responses to each client's questions. This is my 3rd response, After the response the thread will be closed without further responses. There should be no need for you to return. If you return with further repetitive, anxiety-driven, "what if" questions you may not receive a response and your posting fee will not be returned.

Repetitive. Above I said, "The testing you have done proves that your headache and mouth ulcers are not due to HIV. When symptoms are present, tests for HIV are always positive." The answers are not going to change

Correct. I also said this before. That you ejaculated in her mouth without actively receiving oral sex makes no difference. Your partner is not at risk
