[Question #12128] Syphillis/HIV scare

Hello.
I had an high risk encounter night of Oct 6 with a stripper in mexico with unprotected cunnilingus and protected vaginal sex, condom didn't break I believe. I tested negative for for chlamydia/gonnorhea 5 and 11 days urine test and throat swab.
3 days after encounter I started noticing the texture around the outside of my lips change. Less pink as well. No sores or anything just different darker pink texture. I thought it was in my head. Then 10 days after the inside of my mouth also started to change. No sores like herpes or chancres like Syphillis still. But the long stretch area across the inside of the mouth right where the top and bottom of the mouth meets inside the lips looks/feels tender going on 3 days now. But again no blisters/sores. I do have HSV1 already but only ever had two outbreaks on the corners of my mouth in my whole life.
I've read your responses in regards to low odds of catching anything even given my circumstances. But I can't shake these weird mouth symptoms if it's the onset of Syphillis or HIV or from excessive stress/anxiety.
I did a Syphillis and HIV test at 11 days still waiting results. How accurate is this?
If I take another Syphillis/HIV at 14 days, what's the accuracy with that?
How much concern do you have given my symptoms?
Is it okay to have sex with my wife?

As you have already mentioned, your encounter was low risk. We have never seen a case of syphilis acquired through cunnilingus and for the symptoms of syphilis to begin just 3-4 days following an exposure is unheard of. If the changes you have noted were due to syphilis however, the test you had at day 11, more than 5 days after the onset of symptoms would be positive (although syphilis symptoms may occur in the absence of a positive test for the 1rst day or two of symptoms, by 5 days of more the test would be positive if your symptoms were due to syphilis. Regarding your specific questions:

See my comments above. Your test results will rule out the possibility that your symptoms are due to syphilis but for syphilis test results to be completely conclusive, tests must be performed after at least 6 weeks.

What you describe is not a symptoms I have ever heard or seen in association with syphilis. I am confident that what you describe is not syphilis.

What about the symptoms in regards to HIV?
The timeline is also too soon for the onset of HIV symptoms and the symptoms you report are not symptoms of recently acquired HIV

Virtually zero.

4th generation tests for HIV would be worthless. An HIV RNA PCR test taken more than 11 days following your encounter will be conclusive. If you test for HIV, I am confident it will be negative

Syphillis/HIV 4th gen was negative at 11 days. HIV RNA PCR test at 12 days was negative.
Relieved but will retake Syphillis/HIV 4th gen at 6 weeks to confirm.

Thanks for sharing your results. Your HIV RNA PCR results prove that you did not acquire HIV. There is no need for additional HIV testing.
I remain confident that you did not acquire syphilis from the virtually no risk encounter you described. Your test will be negative
