[Question #12140] Potential Herpes/Other STI risk

Hello, about 10 days ago I received blowjob with a condom on from a sex worker. Two things to note would be that she used her mouth to slowly put the condom on, which in hindsight probably wasn't the safest thing to do, and there was a lot of spit involved-way more than I have ever been used to from prior experiences -during the act.
I'm curious as to what my chances of contracting any STI would be, especially herpes, considering that from what i've read it can be transmitted through saliva and skin to skin contact even with a condom on. I'm not concerned about HIV, as i've read its not really possible to contract through oral sex, especially if protected.
Since the act i've noticed a weird stinging sensation when I pee/ejaculate. What makes it so strange is that it typically comes right as I finish/am finishing urinating or ejaculating.
What do you think this could be from? When is the best time to get tested for herpes and other STI's? Should I remove myself from sexual activity until I am certain I'm free of any infections? ( I do have a partner)

The condom was adequate protection from herpes from receiving oral sex.
Have you ever in your life had a cold sore on your lip or in your nose.?  If yes, then you already have HSV 1, which is what you receive if you get HSV from receiving oral sex.

I haven't in the past had cold sores and recently tested negative for HSV1. Should I get tested? Or do you think this is such a low chance of exposure that it's not really worth concern? Lastly which STIs would I be most susceptible to get from an encounter like this?

I don't think you actually need testing UNLESS you develop sores in the genital area, which I would bet a lot of money that you will not.  And if you do, then a swab test, not a blood test.
The risk of any STI from this experience is just about zero - good job, using that condom!

Ok cool. Thanks for the advice. Just for closure my last questions will be as followed;
Hiv is 100% a non concern correct?
Am I ok to have sex with partner in the coming days without the worry of spreading any STI's?
Is testing necessary or more for closure?

I'm quite sure that drs Hook and Handsfield would agree that HIV is not a concern here.
