[Question #12168] 6 month post exposure

Hello, 6 months ago I had a one off encounter with MSM. we only did oral (only receiving fellatio for about 20 seconds and he deep throated me twice). I paid attention to my body over the last few months and I never had any signs or symptoms (no pain, no itching, no chancre, no discharge of any kind or painful urination). A little over two weeks ago I experienced a tingling sensation on my penis. Felt that for about 5 days before a little bump appeared on my penis shaft. After the bump arrived I experienced other symptoms like uretha irritation, penis felt sore, subtle pain towards tip of penis and frequent feelings of the urge to pee with little coming out. I did some research and found out the tingling sensation is a symptom of herpes but I only had one bump appear not any open sores, blisters, clusters or leaking fluid. A little white spot did come out of the bump when I touched it but no pain. Symptoms have been kind of off and on the last two weeks but seem to settle down the last few days. Going to get tested later today but wanted insight from a specialist. Do other stds usually show signs of symptoms almost 6 months after being a receiver of oral sex?
Is there a chance that it can be gonorrhea even though I had no symptoms or discharge within the last 5 and half months?
I did an online consultation with a doctor and he said it sounds like genital herpes. I know google is our worst enemy but I read that gonorrhea symptoms can appear within six months, but I read a reply from a post saying that receivers of oral sex show symptoms within a month. I might've misinterpreted that but just want clarification.

Good morning, thanks for posting. Herpes infections have been my specialty for 40 years so I'm quite familiar with HSV. While some people with herpes do have tingling, lots of other people have tingling also so I'm going to pay a bit more attention to the other symptoms that you describe while trying to help you sort this out. Sore penis and feeling of urinary frequency are not symptoms of herpes. Yes, lesions are symptoms, but the bump that you describe with the white spot that came out does not sound like herpes at all to me. Herpes lesions are like little water blisters, often in a group, that break open, form an ulceration and scab over. None of that sounds like what was going on with you.
Testing is problematic because there are so many false positives for HSV 2. Given what you've told me, I don't think I would recommend that at this point.

Hello thank you for the quick response. I know heroes is your specialty but is there any stds that come to mind that I should test for? I guess my biggest concern is the big three form oral: gonorrhea, syphillis, and chlaymdia?

Do any of these symptoms remind you of other stds? Thank you

You did post three times but I'll answer this anyway. The symptoms that you describe don't sound like an STI, no. I hope that you did pursue the testing that you mentioned.
