I decided to have sex with CSW at her apartment. Condom broke. I noticed a few seconds after. I am mainly worried about HIV.  Should I stop having sex with my partner after I get tested?

Welcome to our Forum.  Thanks for your question.  I'll be glad to comment.  The risk of any single sexual encounter is low.  Most CSWs get checked regularly and do not have STIs, including HIV and when they do most single exposures do not result in infection,.  If she had gonorrhea or chlamydia there is about a 20% chance you acquired and infection.  If she had HIV the risk is only 1 in 2000.  Did you happen to ask her if she was infected or when she last got checked?  Was she concerned about the breakage?

Testing is always a personal choice.  You can have a urine test for gonorrhea and chlamydia and get conclusive results any time more than 3 days after your encounter.  For HIV testing an HIV RNA PCR test will provide conclusive results any time more than 11 days after the encounter while the more common (and cheaper) 4th generation tests for HIV will be more than 98% conclusive at 4 weeks (28 days) and entirely conclusive 6 weeks after your exposure.

I hope this information is helpful.  EWH

She said she got a blood test last week and she was all fine. Do you think I should stop having sex with my girlfriend until I get confirmation that my test are all fine ?

The likelihood you were infected is low.  Testing is always a personal decision.  If you choose to test, your risk for gonorrhea or chlamydia is far higher than any risk for HIV or syphilis.  EWH---

Are you saying you do not recommend abstaining from sex with regular partner due to the risk being so low?

As I said, this is a personal decision.  The risk is low.  I’ve provided the information you need to decide for yourself.  EWH---

Just to be super clear you don't recommend PEP due to such low risk situation?
