[Question #12208] following my last Question

Hello. Sorry to come back again
Today I bought a home test from Wondfo® hiv 1,2 AB. I searched online for them and found that many governments and interested institutions have contracts with them
My gland disappeared after a week of swelling and I went to the ENT and dentist and both of them told me that I have no problems and this is what worried me (swelling without a reason) and I bought the home device.
My next questions, with your permission:
A. I did the test twice today, and both were negative, can I trust this result and move forward?
B. The test after exposure after 39 days is this considered final?
C. Some Buffer came to the wound to take blood is this considered exposure?
D. My concerns for my wife, can I return to her after this 100% without any fear?
E. Does the test rule out that the gland is due to the recent exposure?

Welcome back to the Forum although I'm sorry you felt the need. I tried previously to tell you that the encounter you describe was virtually no risk. That is still the case. Your HIV antibody test results confirm this.
A. I did the test twice today, and both were negative, can I trust this result and move forward?
Yes
B. The test after exposure after 39 days is this considered final?
Antibody only tests such as the one you used is final at 8 weeks (i.e. 56 days) although the 39 day result is more than 98% conclusive. When combined with the almost no risk nature of the test you had, you should be confident that you do not have HIV. In your situation I would not feel the need to test again.
C. Some Buffer came to the wound to take blood is this considered exposure?
No
D. My concerns for my wife, can I return to her after this 100% without any fear?
Yes
E. Does the test rule out that the gland is due to the recent exposure?
Absolutely

thank you DR, Last question
Could the result be a false negative due to the effect of increased buffer, or blood in test or does this not make a difference?
as i told you the test type is Wondfo® hiv 1,2 AB.
Thank you

As long as the test was done, according to the package instructions, the results should be accurate. EWH.---

thx DR
Does this mean that I should repeat the test or not?
And can the gland in the case of ARS be one and swollen for two weeks after the 25th day and the 37th day?

Your testing proves that the swollen gland was not due to HIV. If it were, your test would be positive and the gland would remain swollen.
A small amount of excess buffer would not change the accuracy of your result. I would not bother to repeat the test but, as you know, testing is a personal decision.
As you know, we provide up to 3 responses to each client's questions. This completes this thread which will be closed shortly. EWH
