[Question #12219] Herpes or other std above lip mutual JO

Hi, a little less than 3 days ago I participated in mutual masturbation with another male. Lube was used. The only sexual activity was mutual touch and masturbation of the genitals. At one point I did use poppers.
This morning I noticed a burning sensation above my upper lip. Upon examination, there is a rash on both sides of my mouth approximately a quarter inch above my lip. I don’t see any blisters but when I shine a light on the rash there is some wetness. The rash is slightly smaller than a dime on one side and smaller on the other.
I have a difficult time believing this is an std given everything I’ve read from your advice over the years. The only time I touched my face from what I recall is when I used poppers. Additionally, I did not notice anything abnormal from the other male’s genitals but it was dimly lit.

This does not sound like oral herpes to me AND nothing that you did at this encounter presented a risk for herpes. So great job being careful with your sexual experienc
