[Question #12238] CSW protected oral and anal sex

Hi there, I am male 35 years old. I had protected oral sex and anal sex with a csw girl. Condom did not break. I am very anxious when it comes to my health. Always try to play safe as safe as possible. So yesterday evening (10th day after the encounter)I noticed something on my penis that looks like folliculitis since I do have it and always squeeze it and so I did yesterday and I always make a mess. Now and looking at it from time to time and I hope it will start to heal and that it is just folliculitis. No groups of water blisters etc. I had similar thing on the spots there when pubic hair starts to grow. My anxiety is probably way out of proportion here, however I do have a wife that Id like to protect and ofcorse there is alot of guilt. I am afraid of skin-to-skin sti/std. I asked csw abot her health and her testing. She said she does it every month and it is all fine and she is very busy because she pays attention on her health even more than I do since its her job and she is having ofcourse multiple partners. Can I continue having a normal sex life with my wife? I am overreacting about everything. The csw girl just confirmed me again that she ist regularly testing for everything - the whole std panel and everything is always good. Thanks in advance

Welcome to our Forum. Thanks for your questions and congratulations on your safe sex practices. You've done everything right and as a result, there is virtually no risk from the encounter you describe. The most important part of your protection ws your condom use for all penetrative sexual activities- condoms provide excellent protection as long as they are worn throughout the sex act and do not break (you can be confident your condom did not break- when condoms break, they break wide open leaving no doubt that they have failed). The fact that your partner tests regularly and the fact that even in the unlikely circumstance that your partner has an STI, most single exposures do not lead to infection all add to the no risk nature of your encounter.
The lesion you describe does sound like folliculitis. I should point out that sometimes it causes problems to squeeze folliculitis lesions as this may cause the irritation to spread.
I would not worry about this encounter and see no medical need for testing.
I hope that this information is helpful. EWH

Thank you very much, Dr. Hook
I would like to add something maybe it could be important. CSW girl did squirt on at some point so some of fluids went everywhere, on my pubic area etc, does this change anything. I could not see any lesions on her body. and maybe it is also important to mention I do use her services once in 2 months and sometimes once a month and I intend to stop with it. So from everything I wrote and I tried to write everything like it was and how I remember it, nothing puts me in risk of hsv 1 or 2 syphilis etc and you were I would you continue with your regular partner sex life? Thank you

Thanks for the additional information. The fact that she "squirted" vaginal secretions however does not change my assessment. Please don't worry. EWH---
