[Question #12275] Risk assessment

Good morning
Male in Texas and you guys are great and I’ve learned a lot from you guys and pretty much know my exposures
Here it is :
10/11 unprotected vaginal and oral w female
We both shared our results and all negative but she is positive hsv2 and me positive hsv1
11/11 unprotected vaginal and oral same girl
11/19 unprotected oral w new girl that was kind of rigorous
11/20 eight hours later I find a tear like a paper cut -small line one the base of my penile head where it meets the foreskin
Seems like it is from friction from the oral w the new girl. The girl before was 8 days prior to this which seems a little long for anything
No clusters and I know syphilis is painless
Any suggestions or am I on the right track the paper cut tear is from be friction of the rigorous oral
Please advise

Welcome to the Forum. Thanks for your questions. I'll be glad to comment. You did well to test and share your test results with your partner of 10/11 and 11. Negative tests mean this was safe sex in terms of the testing that your did and your risk of having acquired HSV-2 is low and your own HSV-1 makes you risk, if anything lower than average. That does not make your risk of HSV-2 zero but it lowers it. In addition, if you were going to acquire HSV-2, lesions would have appeared within 10 days of your exposures.
I suspect, as you do, that the "paper-cut" you describe was due to friction rather than any infection. No STI would appear just 8 hours after an exposure. Unless you develop additional lesions or the lesion you describe evolves, I would not be worried.
I hope this perspective is helpful. EWH

Awesome! That’s what I thought
My only concern was the unprotected vaginal eight days before the tear. I guess I was concerned if after 8 days a tear similar to a paper cut would present as a Sti lesion? It hasn’t evolved in three days now and is healing

It would be unusual for an STI lesion to present in the manner you describe. Particularly since you already know that your partner 8 days ago tested negative. In addition, you have a good alternate reason. I really would not worry. EWH---

Understood
I was just wondering if a herpes lesion presents like this since she is hsv2 and I’m hsv1? I don’t think it dies but wanted reassurance
My last reply
You guys are great!

As i said above "It would be unusual for an STI lesion to present in the manner you describe". That includes herpes.
Thanks for your thanks As you know, this completes this thread which will be closed shortly. EWH
