[Question #12290] Hypotheticals
|
Asked question few days ago about fingering, but now questioning if my account is correct
Meds:
Doxycycline 100mg 14 days
Cefixime 400mgx2
Metronidazole 500mgx2
Lets say I misremember and there was cunnilingus or unprotected sex.
I understand the risk for HIV is low given most CSW’s don’t have HIV + transmission risk… would the meds above successfully cure chlaymidia/gonnerhea and trich either genital OR orally(chlaymidia/gonnerhea)?
I’ll test after a few days of antibiotics completion to put my mind at ease and move on to better decisions. Any other concerns I might not be thinking about?

This and your preceding question may be about a different exposure, but it's exactly the same kind and the same replies are valid. As Dr. Hook informed you, there was no risk of any STD and you should not have taken any of these antibiotics and if still taking the doxycycline, you should stop it now. And no, I will not go along with your sily game of pretending there were exposures that did not occur -- but even those events would not change anything. Post-exposure antibiotic prophlaxis is advised only for far higher risk exposures, primarily unprotected anal sex betwen men. You also do not need any testing of any kind.
Here is a quote from one of our previous replies. It was the second time you were given the same warning:
Please note the forum policy against repeated questions on the same topic. This being your third about this exposure and your resulting infection concerns, it will have to be your last. Excessive questions are deleted without reply, and without refund of the posting fee.
And now we're dealing with your sixth question in 7 months about events that everybody knows carry no risk of HIV or any STD. This one definitely is your last. Anyh further attempts along these lines will be deleted without reply, and without refund of the posting fee. This policy is based on compassion, not criticism, and is intended to reduce the temptation to pay for quesitons with obvious answers. We also have learned that repeating such replies tends to prolong anxiety rather than relieving it. Finally, such questions have limited education value for other users, one of the forum's goals. Thank you for your understanding.
I do hope the discussions help you move on without worry, even in the event of future similar exposures. And that it helps you make rational decisions about antibiotics after such events.
This thread is open for one more brief follow-up. But any questions that have been answered previously, or whose answers are obvious from your other discussions, will not be answered and the thread will be closed. Thanks again for your understanding.

Understood- I stopped taking meds. 0 major symptoms (dishcharge or burning) I’ll test 7 days from med completion (anxiety reassurance): and expect a negative. Is 7 days a good timeline from medicine completion?
Also, I do have a little rash on the bottom of scrotum. Circular but slight raised bumps bigger than pores. Any concerns there? Not itchy just happen to notice them.

Since you were not possibly exposed and didn't need the antibiotic, you don't need testing for anything. If you do it anyway, it doesn't matter when.
You're probably examining yourself too closely and overly noticing nothing abnormal. If you're convinced something is wrong, see a doctor. No STD fits with such a rash.
You might consider counseling to deal with your unwarranted and exaggerated fear of STDs.
That concludes this thread. Please note and heed the notice in my reply above. Any future questions like this and your previous ones will be deleted without reply; this is your third and final warning about it. Good bye and good luck.
