[Question #12300] Oral sex std transmission
8 months ago
|
I’m a male and received a handjob from a female sex worker in a massage parlor. For literally one second, she put her mouth on the head of my penis, which was unprotected. This happened 16 days ago, with no noticeable symptoms.
Wondering what transmission possibilities are for gonorrhea, syphilis, hsv2, and chlamydia.
Would it be worth it to take antibiotics at this point?

Welcome to the Forum and thanks for your questions. I’ll be glad to comment and hope you’ll find my response reassuring.
There is no risk whatsoever for any STI, including HIV from receipt of masturbation and having your partner place her mouth on the head of your penis without further penetration is close to no risk as well. The absence of symptoms more than 2 weeks after the encounter further strengthens my confidence that you are in the clear. If you were going to develop herpes lesions that would have occurred within 10 days of the encounter further strengthens.
I see no reason for testing at this point and no reason for concern. Please don’t worry. EWH
