[Question #12331] HIV, Syphilis and herpes risk

had to come back and thank you for your great service. 6 weeks ago exactly, I went to a massage parlor in one of the GCC countries and the therapist was a ladyboy from Philippines. Anyway, my exposure was analingus (received) for 2-3 minutes, she sometimes inserted her tongue as I felt something was going inside. Protected oral (received), penis to penis rubbing with lotion and body to body. Also, mutual hand masturbation and kissing close to the scrotum but very briefly. After the shower, I started having high anxiety and was thinking maybe she penetrated me while I was thinking it was analingus because I felt something but I thought it was her tongue, it was like tingling, I don't know exactly because it was the first time I received analingus. Anyway, after 2-3 weeks I noticed 2 small raised skin or bumps on my pubic area just a few milimeters below where the hair starts growing from up the belly side. I got scared and shaved that area to see them closely. They looked like a bit red and raised skin but no open sore. I went to the dermatologist and he said it's molluscum and said he doesn't even consider it could be herpes or syphilis. But it never spread and after 2 days if my visit to the derma the bumps started getting smaller and smaller untill they kinda disappeared after a week but left like a dark reddish small point mark, I also noticed there's a hair coming from a point (trying to describe the best I can). I asked the derma can this be a ingrown hair or folliculitis but he said no. I also can't exactly remember if they had pus coming out when they started to fade but maybe. At the same time, I had a big bump that made a white head with pus just over my knee at the bottom of my quadriceps that exploded by it self after a week or so.

I must add that those bumps in my pubic area could have had some pus when they were fading and kinda crusted at the end (also the one on my leg)
Tomorrow will be 6 weeks and 2 days and I'm going to test tomorrow for HIV and syphilis. Should I test for anything else? I know herpes test is not accurate. Whats my risk from the encounter of HIV, syphilis, herpes and HPV.
Also, 4 days ago, I woke up with some red/pinkish very tiny pimples or rash on my chest but it kinda went away after 2 days and now I have a very tiny little pimple or two. In October when the encounter happened it was super hot and extremely humit and I work outdoor and I sweat a lot and my underwear get wet in that weather and I shower only at night.
Also now when I noticed the pimples or rash on my chest the weather has become cold. I did notice any rash on my palms or feet.
What syphilis test should I take tomorrow? RPR, vdrl or treponemal one? Will it be conclusive?
I have a wife and I haven't sex with her since the encounter.
Thank you for your patience.

I'm sorry to see you returning to the Forum with additional, repetitive concerns about the no risk activities that you described in prior questions as well as this one. The lesions you describe sound nothing like syphilis, an opinion you have already heard from a trained dermatologist. If you choose to test, not that it is needed, either an RPR or treponemal test will provide useful results.
You are worrying needlessly. EWH

I really hope and wish I have nothing. Dr Hook, thank you and I'm sorry to bother you again and I'd really appreciate if you could clarify a few things as I don't want to keep reading on the internet and that's why I chose your service.
1) What does it mean an open sore in the syphilis chancre? Is it like a blister with a hole? I saw some pictures but they are different. I just want to compare it to the lesions I had.
2) Does my lesion (2 bumps) sound like MC or Folliculitis or ingrown hair? Because I read that MC takes months to go without treatment. Also mine didn't look much like MC from the pictures I've seen. Because dermatologist asked me if I had sex and I couldn't tell the exposure (ashamed) so I said no, because I read that it could be a STI in adults.
3) assuming it is MC, am I still contagious now that the lesion is gone (or almost I see only a bit dark mark but nothing raised not bump)?
4) in almost all posts you and Dr Handsfield say 6 weeks is conclusive for syphilis test but there's ONE post in which Dr Handsfield says 8 weeks is conclusive and 6 weeks almost, although the post is not very old. I'm confused.
5) is there any chance the rash on the chest could be syphilis? Can it go away or drastically decrease in 3 days?
I'm scared because of the timeline of these incidents ....
I will take an RPR and ab/ag HIV test in couple of hours.
Thank you again for your help.

The internet is absolutely the wrong place to be looking for health information. Much of what is said there is incorrect, either because it is out of date, taken out of context, misinterpreted or just plain wrong. There is no way for an untrained persons to evaluate what is right and what is wrong.

Syphilis chancres a shallow, firm ulcers with heaped up edges. They are not blisters

Lying to a health care professional is dumb. How can they help you if you do not give them an accurate history. The idea that someone who cannot examine you and has to interpret your descriptions of what may or may not be going on rather than taking the advice of a dermatologist is the height of silliness. I cannot tell what you have. You should go back to the dermatologist and tell the truth.
3) assuming it is MC, am I still contagious now that the lesion is gone (or almost I see only a bit dark mark but nothing raised not bump)?
MC is transmitted by direct contact with the MC lesions
4) in almost all posts you and Dr Handsfield say 6 weeks is conclusive for syphilis test but there's ONE post in which Dr Handsfield says 8 weeks is conclusive and 6 weeks almost, although the post is not very old. I'm confused.
Six weeks will provide conclusive results.

No, a syphilis rash would not go away without treatment.
You have one follow-up remaining. The the thread will be closed and you should not return. Should you return, your question may not be answered and your posting fee will not be returned. EWH

Dr. Hook,
At 6 weeks and one day I took HIV combo test and VDRL, both negative. I also took on the same day VDRL at another lab also negative.
At week 7 and 3 days I repeated the same tests at the same lab which is in a reputable hospital and both negative.
I asked them for RPR but on the paper it says VDRL (RPR method) not sure what they mean. I asked the nurse who took my blood and she said it's the same test. Anyway, I think it was VDRL only both times.
Are my results conclusive please? Can I resume unprotected sex with my wife?
Thank you for your patience and valuable service.

The VDRL test is equivalent to the RPR. Your test results prove that you did not acquire HIV or syphilis. No further testing is needed and there is no need to abstain from unprotected sex with your wife..
This completes this thread which will now be closed. EWH
