[Question #12341] Protected Sexual Encounter BJ and Kissing

Hi Dr, I have never had intercourse in my life other than my partner. Tonight I just lost control and ended up having a brief intercourse. I was wearing the Condom the whole time when the escort gave me BJ 2-3 times and then I penetrated her in two positions. But didn’t stroke or stayed inside for more than 1 min. I took out and than came. I then carefully removed the condom with tissue papers so that outside of condom doesn’t touch my foreskin or penis. I even checked the condom for any damage by filling water in it and there was no tear or leakage at all. We kissed tounge to tounge for several minutes during this encounter.

I know I am scared because of guilt but I want to know if I am at the risk of any STD, STI or HIV or any other diseases. What if by any chance vaginal secretions touched my penis opening?

Should I get tested now or after 30-40 days?

If I am safe then can I continue my physical relations with my partner without protection ?

Welcome to our Forum.  Thanks for your questions.  I'll be glad to comment and hope that you will find my comments reassuring.  The encounter you describe was virtually no risk for acquistion of STIs, including HIV.  The reasons I say this with confidence are:
1.  Most people, even most commercial sex workers do not have STIs.
2.  When people have STIs, infections are at genital sites.  Oral infections are less common making receipt of oral sex low risk
3.  Most exposures to infected partners do not result in transmission.
4.  When worn throughout an encounter and they do not break, condoms provide virtually complete protection from most STIs

From a scientific perspective, I see no need for testing although I understand that you may want the additional reassurance that comes with negative tests.  If you choose to test, a urine test for gonorrhea and chlamydia will provide reliably conclusive results and time more than 3 days after your encounter.  Testing for other HIV and syphilis will take longer to provide reliable results but testing after 6 weeks will be conclusive.

I urge you not to worry.  I see no medical reason for you to avoid unprotected sex with your regular partner.  EWH

Thanks a lot for your response Dr. So I take that this deep kissing and protected intercourse encounter doesn’t put me at risk of any STI/STD/HIV.

And I take that I don’t need to get tested for anything.

If I am missing anything and understand incorrectly kindly correct me.

Thanks again.

Dr Doctor,

Please let me know if I have to purchase a new question for this. I am happy to do that.

In a massage parlour encounter with a regular therapist that I have known, I tried to penetrate her anus but no penetration happened and I stopped in a couple of seconds. After that I checked and ensured that condom was not broken or leaking etc.
She gave me a protected BJ and I checked that condom as well that it’s not broken or leaking.

Since then I am feeling a bit of itchy sensation on the tip of my penis.

No pain as such when I pass urin. No other rash or sores anywhere.

Do I need to get tested for this?

Thanks

This will be the final response.  There should be no need to return to the Forum.

This appears to be an encounter from the one you described earlier.  Like the preceding encounter however, it was a no risk event

Condom protected sex of any sort is a virtually no risk event as long as the condom is worn throughout the encounter and the condom does not break.  When condoms break, there is no doubt that they have failed as the condoms break wide open.  Condoms do not break "a little"

The itching you have noticed is a typical consequence of looking for signs of infection.  Penile itching is not a sign of an STI but often occurs when a person is looking for symptoms and that focus of attention results in noticing otherwise normal sensations.

Nothing you describe suggests and need for testing or concern.

Closing the thread now.  EWH
