[Question #12364] oral sex chaffed lips and protected vaginal intercouse hiv risk

Hello doctors . Kindly advise if i need to use prep or get tested for this exposure .
its very cold in the place i live and so i have chaffed lips. They crack with tiny bleed if i stretch lips and they heal in few mins until next stretch.
Stupidly i had an encounter while travelling in a spa where
1. Received a blowjob
2 performed cunnilingus . Probably lip not fully healed.
3 performed protected vaginal intercourse
Please advice. Today is day 1 . Should i take PreP for this exposure

Welcome back to the Forum. I'll be glad to reinforce the messages that Dr. Handsfield gave you about 18 months ago. It is statistically unlikely that your partner had untreated HIB and if she did, the risk of HIV is virtually zero. There is no proven risk of HIV from receipt of oral sex or condom protected vaginal intercourse and any risk of acquistion of HIV from performing cunnilingus is purely theoretical. The presence of chapped lips does not change this assessment in any way. I see no pressing need for testing and there is certainly no need for post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP). In my clinic we would decline to prescribe PEP for you.
I hope that this information is helpful. Please don't worry. EWH
