[Question #12381] Massage Parlour
|
Hi,
I visited a massage parlor and has massage and body to body with a Thai sw. I did not have penetrative sex, but there was mutual masturbation. I rubbed her vagina and inserted finger and then may have touched my penis. She also rubbed her vagina and then touched my penis and testicles and around my ass but did not insert finger. I also have some new chaffing in that area from recent exercise.
Am I at risk from Sti if she or I had vaginal secretions on her or my hands? Herpes, chlamydia, gonnorhea, syphlis hiv , warts? Would having the chaffing make an sti more likely if vaginal secretions on her hands touched it?
Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. Thank you for your question and your confidence in our services.
You describe a zero risk exposure for any and all STIs. None are transmitted by fingering or hand-genital contact, even when genital fluids or saliva are involved (e.g. for lubrication). The chafed skin does not significantly elevate the risk. I would advise against being tested, and that if you have a regular sex partner, you can safely continue your usual sexual lifestyle without putting that person at risk.
I hope these comments are helpful. Let me know if anything isn't clear.

Hi,
Thank you for your reply. That helps a lot. When you say it doesn’t significantly increase risk, does that mean there is some risk with cafed skin?

No increased risk is known from chafed skin.---

One last question. Why do you think so many online resources and websites say that it is possible to get an Sti in this way? I googled it and a lot say that you can?

First, many sites do not distinguish between theoretical risks that might be real and actual risks in the real world. Rubbing HIV into chafed skin probably would increase the risk of infection, with prolonged vigorous rubbing. However, HIV has never been found in someone whose only possible exposure was massage, body rubbing, etc -- and millions of such events must have occurred in the presence if skin wounds, rash, chafing etc -- and still no know cases.
Second, you won't find very many professionally moderated or run sites that consider this a risk. Be very careful of sites run by and for people with a particular health problem (like Reddit for example). Personal testimony about how someone thought they were infected is the worst kind of medical advice. Anyone can write whatever they want on the web.
That concludes this thread. FYI, in the 21 years of this and our preceding forum, with thousands of questions from persons worried about HIV after a possibly risky exposure, none has yet reported they tested positive, You won't be the first. If and when it finally happens, undoubtedly it will be from a genuinely high risk exposure and nothing like you have experienced.
That concludes this thread. I hope the discussion has been helpful. Best wishes.
