[Question #12405] Hiv risk?

Hello doc, this year has been a whirlwind of stuff for me with the death of my father and cancer diagnosis of my grandmother. It has increased my anxiety of HIV transmission.
-Jan-23 protected oral sex with a trangender. Did Hiv Test 23/2/23 -ve. had swollen lymph’s in the armpits for about 6 months after on and off
-Jun-23 went to an erotic cinema in Budapest where there there were gay males engaging in sex however did not take part. Bought a sex toy from there and used it. Fell sick 2 days later and got an eye infection plus fever for one day.
-Feb-24 met a gay escort and we gave each other a handjob and precum was exchanged between us via the hands on the penises.
What is my risk of acquiring HiV as per the above as I am very anxious given what’s happening in my life right now?

Welcome back to the Forum. I'm sorry to hear of your losses over the past year. The January and February encounters that you describe have not put you at risk for HIV or other STIs. To be specific:
1. Your Jan 23 encounter did not put you at risk. Condoms work and your tests not only prove that you did not acquire HIV but also prove that your swollen armpit lymph nodes were not due to HIV
2. From the sound of things, you did nothing at the Budapest cinema which put you at risk HIV is spread only through unprotected penetrative sex or injection of infected material deep into tissue
3. Mutual masturbation in your Feb encounter did not put you at risk. Mutual masturbation is safe sex, even hen partners get each others' genital secretions on each other.
Nothing you describe raises any concern or suggests the need for testing. Please don't worry. EWH

Apologies for the late reply doc as since the initial post my grandmom passed away due to the cancer spreading.
Thank you for the inputs. In regards to the Budapest episode, I did not engage in any form of oral or penetrative sex.
As my visa renewal is due where I am, they test for HIV,(I’m sure you know of this place), I’m just overly stressed with it as with everything that’s happened over the past year in my life.
Is there any chance that it may return positive given the above scenarios as I don’t think I have had any other sexual contact other than these.
Thank you once again doc!

From what you have described above, I am confident that your HIV test will be negative. None of the activities you described put you at meaningful risk for HIV. EWH---
