Received insertive oral from 2 different women a month a part. After 2nd, started slight burn in penis tip after urnating and icy hot feeling in scrotum and urethra. Started squeezing penis daily checking for discharge, cpl day later tear drop size clear discharge, that became white about hour later. Its been 2 months, discharge was seen one more time a month afrer 1st, but for one day and havent been any since. Antibiotics havent cured it, 2 months now, no bumps or blisters. Negative herpes tests at 2 months and 3 months post exposures. Had sex with wife night before noticing discharge, she hasnt had any type of symptoms in past 2 months, odds of me contracting herpes with the oral acts.

Sorry for the delay in responding.  Teri is on leave from the Forum for a few days and I will be responding on her behalf.

The exposure you describe was low risk for herpes.  When persons acquire herpes from oral sex, they typically develop lesions within 10 days of exposure and the type of herpes the acquire is caused by HSV-1, the virus that causes cold sores.  About 60% of adults already have HSV-1 and most other do not know it making them not vulnerable to acquiring a new infection.  Finally, even if your either of your partners had oral HSV-1 and you have not, the mathematical risk of acquiring infection is estimated to be less than 1 in 1000 at most.

Squeezing the penis in the way you describe is irritating and a certain amount of clear discharge from the penis is normal and becomes more likely with squeezing.  This is likely the cause of the discharge you noticed. Please stop squeezing.  If you had herpes, you would not need to squeeze your penis to see evidence

Finally, while blood tests for herpes are not very good, your negative tests provide yet more evidence that you did not acquire herpes from the encounter you describe.

Please don't worry about herpes.  EWH

Gm, thanks for the response, I've a nervous wreck for these past several weeks, and hopefully can have some calm npw, but i do have a cpl more qurstions to help ease my mind. You stated:
"Finally, even if your either of your partners had oral HSV-1 and you have not, the mathematical risk of acquiring infection is estimated to be less than 1 in 1000 at most."  Ive read that majority new cases are due to HSV1 especially with younger people because of having more oral sex, so does your comment mean due to the fact i dont have bumps or blisters that my exposure was 1 in 1000 at most? And also if blood test atent good, should my negative test be trusted? I had already made up my mind to do one more on monday and stop. In your expert opinion, should i do another one? Also is the fact that  my wife hasnt had any issues more reassuring?Ive read that people can hsve herpes and no bumps etc, but ive been trying to tell myself whats the odds that i got it, gave it to her and neither of us have visible bumps? Also the duration of my symptoms didnt seem to be typical for herpes. At this point with the different antibiotics taken, negative STD test plus the herpes test, can I have sex with wife again even with lingering symptoms for this long? And although stress could be piling up, would body soreness and those type symptoms start nearly 2 months after 1st symptom? My shoulder blades, back of shoulders, around rib cage have been sore for past 2 weeks, havent been doing any excersing other than my daily job, slept on a futon about 3 weeks ago while floors were being redone and woke up a little sore, but seem like it shouldnt still be, i lounge in my recliner daily and sleep overnight sometimes since all of this and wondering if that has anythijg to do with it, climbed under house with dad to fix some pipes 2 weeks ago, but ive never stayed sore this long. Sorry for rambling, trying to get closure,

I really think this series of "what if" questions is more indicative of your anxiety than anything else.  Your risk of infection is/was less than 1 in 1000.

Your negative test is suggestive but not definitive.  Personally, I would not bother to test more.  That said, testing is always a personal decision.

Your other symptoms are in no way suggestive of herpes.  You need to move on.

You have one follow-up remaining.  EWH

For my last followup: i retested for HSV1 AND 2, 11.5  weeks (2 days shy of 12 weeks) post the most recent exposure and 15 weeks post the previous and it was negagive, so i wont test again and trust the data. But now that its now week 11 and i still have the urethra and penis tip sensation after urinating (sometimes icy hot sensation) whats the odds of it originally being gonorrhea or chlamydia received from oral sex? My initial test was 11 days post previous oral sex encounter, was that enough time for test to detect?  How could it last this long with the different rounds of antibiotocs that hasnt worked? Wife still hasnt complained about any complications and i havent mentioned any of this out of fear of losing it all and hoping i eventually get better. Today i started another 7 day of doxycycline (tried before) but im also going to do azithromycin for 3 days immedaitely after, read that has helped in some situations.  Do you think this could gonorrhea or chlamydia related this long or not even an STI situation?

As you know, this will be my final follow-up.  I'm sorry you are having trouble moving forward despite negative tests.  The persistent problems you report really are not suggestive of an STI.  The antibiotic intervention you are pursuing is not a recommended therapy for any STI and sounds like something you head on the internet.

Your question mentioned "tests" and "antibiotics" but did not give specifics.  That said,  your symptoms do not suggest an STI.  I would advise you to see a urologist to explore non-STI causes of your symptoms.

This completes this thread which will now be closed.  EWH
