Hello I recently had a potential exposure on late December 17th pretty much going into December 18th midnight , then got an HIV RNA test on December 29th (11 days later) at around 7:30 AM which came back negative. Are my results conclusive?

How unfortunate that you cannot overcome your irrational anxieties.  I agree with Dr. Handsfield when, 2 days ago, he said "..do you really suspect you're going to be the first person in the world known to have caught HIV from oral sex?"  To put this in context, the encounter you described put you at lower risk than your risk of being struck by lightening today.  These results are conclusive.  I hope that my confirming what Dr. Handsfield already told you 2 days ago will allow you to move forward without continuing concern.  EWH

So HIV RNA testing is completely conclusive at 11 days after exposure? Am I worry free now, or should I do follow up testing?

I see no need for follow up testing.  E WH---

Understood, I guess I was just a little confused by the semantics. I read on here that HIV Rna testing was conclusive anytime after 11 days, which had me second guessing wether my 11 day on the dot test was accurate. I take it from our conversation that it is and that starting from 11 days and onwards post exposure the testing is conclusive.

Thanks so much.

You are quibbling about test results for an exposure which did not put you at risk for HIV.  You need to move on.  I'll have nothing more to say and am closing the thread now.  Should you return with further questions, the question may be deleted without a response and without return of your posting fee.  EWH---
