[Question #12508] Help

I need help. I am having extreme anxiety and this has been going on for too long. I have been dating the same guy for 15 months. He is one of the most untrustworthy people I have ever met. I am now convinced he is trying to do something VERY BAD to me. I had genital warts when I was 19 or so. I am now 42. I had them again when I was in my last 30's. I used cream and that helped. I have been tested many times since I have been with my current partner for chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, and hiv. I have never had anything that came back positive thus far. I am scared for my life at this point. I think he is trying to give me something intentionally with all the lies I have been told. I had 2 doses of the hpv shot before I met him. I had my doses 8-2-2023, 9-6-2023, and 2-26-2024. I met him 10-1-2023. We have had unprotected intercourse many times. What are my chances of acquiring some deadly std from him? What are the chances I acquired new hpv strains from him that could cause me cancer in my future? Did the shots I had before I met him protect me any at all? I truly feel like a walking time bomb and that this guy is going to be what ends my life.

Welcome back to the Forum. I'l do my best to help on the STD side of things but your concerns that your partner is trying to harm you are a different matter. If you have proof that he is trying to hurt you, you should discuss the specifics of your situation with the police or, at the very least, a trusted professional counselor.
Regarding STIs, your multiple negative tests are evidence that you do not have STIs. The tests are very accurate and the results should be believed.
Regarding the HPV vaccine, congratulations on getting it. You are protected from the 9 most common strains of genital HPV. It turns out that after two injections nearly everyone is highly protected and that the main thing the 3rd injection primarily prolongs the duration of protection, effectively making it lifelong. HPV should not be a concern for you going forward.
I think I've addressed your major questions. If any part of this response is unclear, please don't hesitate to use your up to 2 follow-ups for clarification. EWH

So as far as HPV goes. Whatever strains I had before this partner are all I’m at risk for as far as it ever turning into cancer and being with him hasn’t put me at anymore risks to other strains I didn’t already have with the 2 shots I had when I met him?

There are over 100 different HPV types, with somewhere between 30 and 40% causing genital infections. Your vaccination before you were with your current partner protects you from the 9 most common types of HPV that cause genital infection and reduce your risk for genital cancer greatly. As long as you have periodic GYN check ups as recommended, your risk of getting cancer is miniscule. It is not something to worry about. EWH---
