Hi,
I'll keep this short and simple. I have visited 4 sex workers throughout my life. I l am in India, three of them were African, one was Indian. Each time I had protected intercourse with a condom, I ensured it was put on properly and confirmed that they did not break. I am sure about this, I thoroughly checked it. The protected sex was the only act that took place, no unprotected blowjobs. I don't plan on visiting sex workers again.
Am I at risk of HIV? From what I am seeing online the chances are very low, so I did not get tested. However, I want to see what the doctors on this forum think. Is the risk minuscule enough that I don't need to get tested? What would you recommend to me? Are there any other STI's that I am at risk for. I have had so symptoms of ARS, genital pain, discharge, redness, or sores.

I am not asking for Medical advice, I just want to see if the doctors recommend I get tested. Also, if it is an impacting factor please consider the location and demographic of my interactions, if you can.

Welcome to the Forum. Thanks for your questions. I'll be glad to comment. There are no proven cases of HIV acquired from receipt of oral sex and in your case, you had the added protection of condom use. As a result there is no meaningful risk for HIV or other STIs. I see no reason for concern and no reason for testing.

I had protected intercourse as well. I have not been too worried, but I just wanted to see what you guys said. It was only protected oral and penetrative sex. As I mentioned, no condom breakage. It was on the whole time. Also please keep in mind that I am in India and that CSW's were Indian and African. It was a total of four occurences. What are my risks? If you were in my position would you get tested.

It was protected intercourse and protected oral sex. No condom Breakage for sure. I think this was not 100% clear in the way I worded the first questions. Sorry about that

Condom protected sex is safe sex as long as the condom is worn throughout the encounter and does not break, no matter where on the globe you are. Congratulations on your practice of safe sex and please don’t worry. EWH---
