[Question #12612] HIV , HPV , Gonorrhea

Hello doctors. First of all, I am writing this article using translation, I hope I can express myself. I had sex with a sex worker 3 days ago. Since I have anxiety and panic attacks, I wanted to return to my sex life by trying it here, but we can say that I could not have sex with a sex worker because of my anxiety. It can be said that I had sex with this person by kissing on the lips and oral without a condom in order to have an erection. Since I could not have an erection, we tried sex with a condom as a last resort, but I could not have an erection because it occurred to me that I could catch a disease. I did not have oral contact with the woman's genitals, I only touched her with my finger and kissed her body, unfortunately including her feet, but I did not lick her. I am thinking of having STD and HIV tests done in 28 days, but until this time, my every day is ruined because of anxiety. I did not see any herpes or sores in the woman's mouth, and I used a condom during intercourse. People who have visited the woman before have not commented on any illness and the woman requires a condom during intercourse, but you can ejaculate orally for extra money. I hired the sex worker for a higher than standard fee, of course this information does not prove whether she is sick or not.

Welcome to the Forum. Your message is clear. The encounter you describe was virtually no risk for STIs. I say this for several reasons:
1. Most commercial sex workers do not have STI. This is particularly true for CSWs who cost a bit more.
2. STIs are virtually never acquired from touching a partner’s genitals, from kissing ( including a partner’s feet), or condom protected genital sex. STIs following receipt of unprotected oral sex are very, very rare.
3. Even when a partner has an STI, most single exposures do not result in transmission of the infection.
4. Apparently you don’t have symptoms. Nor do friends who have been with the same woman.
If you had asked if you needed testing, I would say no, not after such a low risk encounter. Even so, many of our clients appreciate the assurance that negative tests provide. If you choose to test, you can test for gonorrhea and chlamydia now and have blood tests for HIV and syphilis later, at 28 days.
I urge you not to worry. This was a close to no risk event. EWH

As you said, I don't have any symptoms, I may have had herpes on my lips just because of extreme stress, but I can say that my lips are very sensitive and I have experienced this before during times of stress. STD10 this week. I will be tested for HIV and Syphilis in 1 month. Would you recommend this? I had intercourse on February 2nd.

Testing is always a personal choice. For you negative tests, which is what I anticipate for you, may be reassuring. Please don’t test for herpes however, the test is often misleading.
You have one follow up remaining. EWH

According to what I shared with my family and you, I am not at risk. If I feel any symptoms, I will be tested, I trust you sir. Thank you for the information.
