I had protected sex with at Asian massage parlor. The lady was in her 40s and told me she was cleaned and had no boyfriend. She started giving me a handjob, she put the condom for Me and then I proceeded to vaginal intercourse ,It was less than 10 minutes. That was Friday night, on Sunday I felt I was coming down with something. Monday I started with a slight headache and runny nose. Today Tuesday i feel like have indigestion and gassy, still runny nose. My daughter on Sunday had a stomach ache and threw up. She feels better, can’t say she got stomach bug she threw up and she’s better now. Help please. Thank you.

Welcome back to the forum, although I’m sorry you felt the need. The circumstances which led to your current questions are very similar to those which you discussed with Dr. Handsfield in the past.
The encounter you describe was virtually no risk. Most commercial sex workers do not have STI’s, most single exposures do not result in transmission when a partner is infected, and most importantly you use the condom during your encounter. Based on this, you can assume that there was virtually no risk to the encounter.
In addition, the symptoms you describe in no way suggest an STI and began too soon to be due or related to the encounter you have described.
My advice to you, is that following casual encounters of the sort you describe, you need to relax and move forward and not be looking for any sort of coincidental signs or symptoms which you could then attribute to an STI. It just doesn’t work that way.
I see no reason for concern, and no reason for testing. EWH.

Through the week, I feel like my throat was about to get a sore throat. Yesterday was the first day with a mild sore throat only on the right side and some on and off ear pain. This is my last question doc regarding this incident. Everytime I get into a new sexual partner I get anxiety. With that been said Anything that I mention Chang your stand? None of this changes my assessment. If you wish to prove to yourself that this is not HIV, you can test at this time using a 4th generation, combination HIV antigen/antibody test. Persons with symptoms due to HIV positive tests at the time symptoms are present. I am confident you do not have HIV. EWH.---
