[Question #1263] Handjob after sex

Dear Doctors,

I recently visited a german brothel where i had sex with two escorts from eastern europe. I engaged in oral, vaginal and anal sex with them and all activities were with condom, even the oral sex. Due to medication i am taking i find it difficult to ejaculate, so in both instances after the sex the escort removed the condom and manually stimulated me (handjob) to ejaculate. I am concerned that vaginal secretions may have been on their hands and therefore gotten on my penis. I say this becuase they had applied lube to their vaginal area before sex and also were also touching the base of the condom during sex (to ensure it didnt slip off i assume). One escort may also have touched the outside of the condom when taking it off. I note the handjobs were done with a lot of lube oil and took about 5 to 10 minutes each.

Is there any risk of HIV or other STD from this?

Welcome to our Forum.  Congratulations on your safe sex practices.  You can rest easy, receipt of masturbation from another person is not a risk factor for HIV or for any other STI.  It is for this reason that even very conservative agencies like the CDC state unequivocally that mutual masturbation in which individuals get each others genital secretions on one another is a no risk event.  No one has EVER been shown to get HIV from receipt of masturbation or transfer of genital secretions from person to person on someone's hands.  There are a number of reasons for this but the major one is that HIV and other organisms that cause STIs tend to be quite fragile and become non-infectious when exposed to air. Thus even if your sex partners did have HIV or some other STD (which is unlikely as most CSWs do not have STDs or HIV) there was no risk from the activities you describe- condom protected sex and receipt of masturbation without a condom on.  There is no need for concern and no need for testing of any sort.

I hope this reply is helpful.  Take care.  EWH

Thanks Doctor, your response seems very clear, and relieves my concerns. A final question then: there was about 3 hours between seeing the two girls and that my penis may have been a little 'raw' during the second session and they also touched the head of my penis, i assume these details make  no difference?

Correct.  Even with two partners, three hours apart, both exposures were still a no risk events.  EWH
