[Question #12648] Sexual Fluids on the body
6 months ago
|
Lets say you're in a situation where a woman has just had sex and got her OR her partners sexual fluids or saliva on her body at some point during the sexual interaction, lets say anywhere between 5-15 minutes prior to seeing you, and she may wipe them off so its not visible but she hasn't washed it off and you are unaware of this. Then you have sex with her and you are kissing her body or you have your mouth on those parts of her body, which haven't been washed yet.
Is there any risk to you in any way shape or form to get some type of sexual infection?

The situations yu describe do not put a person at risk for any STI, including HIV and should such contact occur, there is no reason for concern or for testing. As an example, let me point out that mutual masturbation in which partners get each others' genital secretions on one another's body are considered no risk events by all experts, by the CDC, and by the WHO. Thus contact with saliva or genital secretions of the sort you describe are no risk events. The presence of cuts or scrapes do not change this.
After exposures of the sort you describe there is no reason for concern and no reason for testing. EWH

Ah, ok, so let me just confirm we are on the same page here.
If there was some type of sexual fluid or saliva that dried on a body and somebody else put their mouth on it at some point in time 5 minutes or after of this happening, there is no risk of catching anything by the person who put their mouth onto the sexual fluids/saliva, correct?
In regards to your last statement about cuts and scrapes, does that mean even if somebody had an open cut on their hand and sexual fluids got into the cut, there would still not be a risk for ANY types of sexually transmitted infections including HIV, hepatitis and other bloodborne illnesses?

This is rather repetitive. Since direct contact with infected genital secretions is non-infectious, contact with dried secretins would also be. No risk from oral contact either.
Correct about cuts and scrapes- still no risk.
One follow-up remaining. EWH

Got it. I don't mean to be repetitive, I'm just a paranoid person who doesn't want to leave anything unasked or some random particularity to be forgotten about or be left up to a misunderstanding or chance :)
So in regards to the cuts and scrapes, the same is true for vice versa situations where somebody had maybe a hangnail or a cut on their hand where blood was coming out of and they touched or masturbated another individual with a little blood on their hand, theres no risk there either?

Your "vice versa" scenario is also correct. Please don't worry.
