[Question #12662] Unprotected vaginal no symptoms yet

Hello again,
I had another encounter with the same csw from my previous post. After the 1st encounter, she informed me that she was clean and gets checked regularly, as she is followed by a doctor to monitor any abnormalities as she had a form of cancer.
Now for the encounter I am enquiring about- there was a lot of unprotected frottage along her vagina and penetrated deeply about 2 times and also penetrated shallowly often enough. The whole encounter was 15 minutes but I can't say how long penetration was. She once again assured me she was clean.
This encounter occurred January 17th. As of today, I haven't had any symptoms (sores, discharge, blood or pain). She also had been on the schedule of the massage parlor she works at continuously since that day. Rationalizing it that, if she had symptoms or infection herself, she would likely not be on schedule
Due to having a very sexless marriage, I planned on getting full tests after 4-6 weeks (to cover all possible infections). However, few nights ago, my wife was in the mood and wanted to have sex, which we did. So I'm obviously very concerned about being infected and passing it on to her. I should have at least tested for gon, chlamydia, etc earlier but I didn't want to go to clinic twice. Now I'm in this situation...
My question is, do you think I am likely not infected as it's been a little more than 3 weeks since exposure with no symptoms? Or am I deluding myself
Thank you again

Welcome back to the Forum. Thanks for your continued confidence in our service. Your non-marital partner has assured you that she gets tested regularly and her forthright comments make it likely that this was a truthful statement and that she does not have an STI. Further, even if she did, most single encounters, no matter how long, do not lead to transmission of infection, if present. The absence of symptoms is further assurance that she was not infected and thus you are not at risk. Hierarchically, if you were at risk your highest risk would be for gonorrhea or chlamydia which you could reliably test for at this time. The likelihood of syphilis or HIV is far, far lower and would not be a concern for me if I were in your shoes.
It is quite unlikely that you are/were infected. If I were in your situation, I would probably not even bother to test. That said, testing is a personal decision and if you choose to test at this time and then not worry further. It's now been nearly 4 weeks since your last encounter and even tests for HIV and syphilis, while not entirely conclusive would certainly detect well over 90% of any syphilis and over 98% of any HIV, had you acquired them.
I hope this perspective is helpful. EWH

Thank you so much for the reassurance! So far I still do not have symptoms and will probably take a test this week, just to be sure.
However, my wife complained last night (feb 13) that her vagina was itchy. Nothing else. We had sex Feb 8. Just odd that all of a sudden she complains about that

No change in my assessment. I suspect this represents a combination of coincidence and your anxiety. EWH---
