[Question #12746] Hep B

Dearest Doctors:
I have been in quite a dark place in recent weeks. I am incredibly overwhelmed regarding Hep B.
Between 7-11 November 2024, I had unprotected intercourse with a friend (29, F) on three separate occasions. This was purely penis vagina intercourse. I also received oral sex from her and fingered her.
My friend and I have ceased all contact after these events as she told me that she had not been tested since March 2024 and I felt betrayed. I also found out that she had been meeting another male friend of hers in the UK purely to have sex on and off (she would not say if this was protected). She claimed the last time they had sex was August 2024.
We are both British and we have not been given the Hep B vaccine. Furthermore, she does not know the vaccination status of the other guy.
I have read on here that Hep C is only relevant to those who engage in aggressive anal sex (?). My friend has done anal sex before, but we never did in these encounters.
I am having sleepless nights regarding Hep B. I am booked in to have my first dose of the vaccine this week.

You are the same user as in 12729, answered by Dr. Hook and closed just yesterday. The answers are there. In addition, multiple usernames and accounts are not permitted.
You describe exposures that almost certainly could not have transmitted HIV, HBV or HCV to you. If you were hoping for a different perspective if I happened to respond to your repeat question rather than Dr. Hook, it was pointless. We have been close colleagues for 40 years; our perspectives and advice always are identical. And in reading the information provided I don't even see a question. You are at little or no risk for either HBV or HCV. If you remain concerned, discuss with the doctor or clinic where you will be vaccinated. There will be no further discussion on this thread. And since repeated anxiety driven questions are prohibited, any future questions on these exposures and your worries about HBV, HCV and HIV will be deleted without reply and without refund of the posting fee.
