Hi Doctors,
I received a nude lap dance/massage 3 weeks ago from an escort. No vaginal penetration. There was grinding between my penis and her vagina as we were completely nude for a few minutes. She sat on top of me and was grinding back and forth but I made sure of no penetration. No other sex occurred other than a handjob with her salivia. What is my risk of this event of stds? I don’t think i need testing and can continue to have unprotected sex with my partner. Just wanted an expert assessment of my situation.

Welcome to our Forum Thanks for your questions. I'll be glad to comment. A agree with your assessment. In general, there is no risk for acquistion of STIs, including HIV from either receipt of "grinding" while naked or receipt of masturbation, even when saliva is used for lubrication. I see no medical reason for concern or for testing. Please don't worry. EWH---

Thank you Dr. Hook. This is helpful and I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I was curious about trichomonos. I read that it can be given sexually and also by non sexual means, just was curious if there is high risk for the type of activity I described. Thank you again for your thoughts.

Transmission of trichamonas, like gonorrhea or chlamydia requires penetration. Please don’t worry. EWH---
