hi doctor, how are you? Around 38 to 35 days I went to a massage parlor Asian massage place where I had vagina sex with the Asian lady I do remember her putting a condom on with lube. The sex lasted around 10 to 15 seconds when I got up I do remember seeing the condom on me. I don’t remember seeing a rip or broken I don’t remember it going down at all. I do remember her removing the condom I don’t remember seeing it broke or seen it pulled down, but I’m scared that it did during the time she did clean me up so I am here because seven days after I I felt a little burning sensation when I almost peed, but not too much. I did not notice any discharge from my penis or any leisure I did notice. I had a rash in my penis, head and micro little tears in my foreskin INI am on circumcise. I am worried that I might’ve caught something during that encounter and if I did, what are the odds of me catching something out of that I am super worried and anxious. I do have a wife that I haven’t had sex with. That’s why I did this one time mistake. I’m afraid that I’m gonna get infected if I wasn’t so anxiety, I wouldn’t have thought more about it. And your professional opinion if I was your patient, were you asked for me to test will you? Should I be this worried? I don’t want time exposure that I got. I’m afraid of getting my wife infected and I got infected from one at one time, what are the odds of me getting infected? I don’t want time exposure Thank you doctor.

I’m so sorry I forgot to add. I also experience flu line symptoms like sore throat, coughing no fever around four days ago it went away already. I don’t know if that has to do with HIV or any other STD like I said I do suffer from anxiety and I’m talking with my therapist, I’m just super worried I days I don’t know and your professional opinion is it really worth me stressing this much? I’m worried that I’m gonna test positive over a one time encounter that I’m never gonna do this again not worth my anxiety. The only reason I got super excited cause like I said, I’m sorry filling the symptoms and what are the odds of me catching something out of one time exposure thank you doctors.

Oh sorry doctor should I hold off on sex with my wife? If it does happen I don’t wanna get her infected and should I go test if you were in my shoes?

Welcome to our forum. Thank you for your questions. The encounter you described was virtually no risk. Most commercial sex workers do not have HIV or STI’s and even when they do most single encounters do not lead to infection. In your case, in addition, a condom was used, which reduces your risk of infection to virtually zero. From your description, I am confident that your condo did not break. When condoms fail, they break wide open, leaving no doubt that they have failed.
I do not find any of the symptoms you described in your rapid fire, multiple follow ups concerning. If you were going to develop symptoms of an STI, you would have done so by now.
Testing is always a personal decision. If you choose to test, I am confident that your test results will show that you were not infected. Many of our clients, however choose to test anyway for the additional comfort and confidence that the negative test results provides.
If I were you, I would not hesitate to have unprotected sex with my regular partner at this time. Please don’t worry. EWH.

If you test with a 4th generation HIV test which tests for both HIV antigen and antibodies to the virus, results will be more than 98% conclusive at 4 weeks and completely conclusive at 6 weeks. Depending on your level of anxiety, if you want to test earlier, an HIV RNA PCR test will provide conclusive results at any time more than 11 days after your last encounter.
Please stay off Google- it will mislead you and only fuel your anxiety. Their statements about "microcuts" and broken skin are a great example of this. please don't worry about such things.
You have one follow-up remaining. Please don't worry.

Thanks dr I am feeling more confident I
I understand that it my last follow up
So for std like chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis I would have had symptoms by now, right so I shouldn’t be worried about that?
Now, if I was in your clinic out of this one time situation, this one time potential exposure you had requested me to test is it really worth the stress to test over it when the risk is so low and the same for a one time encounter in your professional opinion there’s really no need for testing, right.
And you’re confident that if I test for STDs and HIV a six weeks, my results will show that I was not infected, correct and thank you for everything that you do this form really helps out a lot

In my original response i said "Testing is always a personal decision. If you choose to test, I am confident that your test results will show that you were not infected. Many of our clients, however choose to test anyway for the additional comfort and confidence that the negative test results provides." That answer is not going to change. If you chose to test, testing at this time will be conclusive and I am confident that your tests will show that you were not infected.
You will need to determine whether or not you can overcome your unwarranted anxiety without the confidence that a negative test will provide.
This thread is now over. Take care. EWH
