[Question #12974] Follow up from #12904, HSV2?

Hello, Experts!
I am back again with some concerns that popped up. Might be my anxiety again, but just double checking!
As stated in the first question, April 2nd I tested for STI’s and And HIV but got negative results. Didn’t text for HSV.
That following Thursday I fell victim to temptation and cheated on my girlfriend. I made out with a girl and received unprotected oral till completion. To date, I don’t touch my girlfriend. So scared of giving her something. I feel better about STI’s. I do have a sore throat but it’s also allergy season here on the east coast of the USA.
I haven’t had any discharge, painful or burning urination or masturbating. I haven’t seen any signs of genital heroes till this week. I noticed a bunch of white bumps at the base of my penis shaft where the hair meets it. I notice it does crawl up my shaft. They are all very small and the same size. None are bursting or scabbing. No itching or burning. But when I focus, I feel like I can feel some pain or irritations.
It’s been about 29 days since the exposure. Should I be worried? Can I have unprotected sex with my girlfriend? What are the white bumps if not herpes?

I suspect that the white bumps are hair follicles, even if there is no hair coming out of them, though they could be something else. Are you sure they weren't there before? I would strongly suggest that you have a professional look at them to tell you what they are, but they don't sound like herpes to me.

They could have been there before. I’ve just been really self evaluating myself. Every time I pee I look for discharge. I was masturbating and looking for herpes sores and when I noticed them for the first time. They are not popping or oozing. Was going to watch for the next couple days to see if they do or not

I still think they are likely hair follicles, but obviously can't be certain. Observing for changes is good, yes.

Hello, Dr!
It’s been three days since my last reply. No new bumps and none have burst or scabbed over. Still have some at the base of the shaft that are only noticeable when I stretch my penis to look for more, or when erect.
I know this is my last reply before close so I’ll ask three questions.
1. Do you think this is herpes or any other STI? If not, do you think it’s just hair follicles or fordyce spots?
2. If you don’t think it is, what are the odds I got any STI from my encounter? Low risk?
3. Am I save to have unprotected sex with my partner?
Thank you!

I should add, they do look exactly like fordyce spots when I googled them

It doesn't sound like an STI to me. Your encounter was low risk but not risk-free - low risk for the acquisition of HSV-1 from receiving oral sex but without sores, which seems unlikely. I can't make decisions for you about if it is safe to have sex with your regular partner, sorry.
