[Question #13024] Unprotected Oral with Ejaculation

I am male from Kenya in East Africa. In the past one month I had two encounters, three weeks apart, with same sex worker (female) involving deep kissing and receiving unprotected oral sex (blow job) where I ejaculated in her mouth on both occasions.
1) What are my risks for acquiring stds including hiv from these episodes? There was no vaginal or anal sex involved.
2) Would you recommend PeP for HIV from the blow job with ejaculation? The second encounter was 24 hours ago.
3) Do I need to test for any STD following the two happenings (receiving bj and deep kissing)?
4) Can I move on and have sex with my wife?
Many thanks

Welcome to our Forum.  Thanks for your questions.  I'll be glad to comment.

1) What are my risks for acquiring stds including hiv from these episodes? There was no vaginal or anal sex involved.
You do not know if your partner had HIV or not.  Statistically she is unlikely to have been infected.  Even if she did, there is no known risk for HIV from deep kissing or receipt of oral sex, even if your partner did have untreated HIV.  The is a small risk of acquiring gonorrhea if your partner had oral gonorrhea.  If you have no symptoms and it has been more than 5 days since your last encounter, you probably were not infected- over 90% of persons who acquired gonorrhea from receipt of oral sex develop symptoms (obvious penile discharge) within 3-5 days of the encounter.

2) Would you recommend PeP for HIV from the blow job with ejaculation? The second encounter was 24 hours ago.
There is no medical or scientific reason for seeking PEP for these encounters.

3) Do I need to test for any STD following the two happenings (receiving bj and deep kissing)?
You are unlikely to have been infected.  If you choose to test, the most important test is to test for gonorrhea with a urine test.  Results will be conclusive any time more than 3-5 days after your last encounter.

4) Can I move on and have sex with my wife?
If I were you I would move on and not hesitate to have unprotected sex with your wife.

I hope this information is helpful  EWH

Thanks for prompt feedback. Just a follow up:
- I noticed a small cut on the inside my lower lip the day after. Probably it existed during the kissing. Does this change your risk assessment on HIV from kissing or still no known risk?
- On a light note, on item 4 in your feedback. Did you mean you could have sex with my wife or your wife?

Thanks Again

The cut on the inside of your lip does not change my assessment or advice.

I see no reason for you to avoid unprotected sex with your wife.

One follow up remaining.
