[Question #13046] Doubts about a body body massage

Hello doctors,
First of all thank you for this platform, being able to ask experts like you as if you were going to a clinic online is very helpful.
The thing is that I asked a while ago and you informed me that my situations were not at risk, even so I took a test on August 1st last year and it was indeed negative.
The thing is that I continue having unprotected sex with my wife since we are looking to be parents but sometimes I have continued to attend erotic massages always without seeking penetration but sometimes if there has been body to body slide.
My question is the following, since my mind tries to harm me and says what if you had penetrated the masseuse without wanting to during this body slide, although I think I would have noticed it and put it aside right away because of my mania and that I was not looking for that
In this case I have come to read this and I say how it will really be according to an expert
HIV is transmitted inside the body. Let's break it down:
Not through frottage - the cervical mucosa does not flow - that's why it's called "mucosa" and not "fluid. The fluid you you contact with your fingers and mouth arises from the Bartholen's Gland, near the entrance to the vagina. This lubricating fluid is no more infectious than sweat or tears. No one has EVER gotten HIV through frottage.
Because I think the maximum that could happened is maybe is a brief contact of the genitalia but this calms me because Im sure I did not penetrate deeply or consciously, in any case it would have been accindental and brief
I want to be this time strong and after the advice of medical experts like yourselves, I will continue with my normal life without having to be tested again.
Best regards

Welcome back to the Forum although I'm sorry you felt the need.  This post is largely repetitive and reflects your unwarranted fears.  You can re-read your prior interactions with Dr. Handsfield and have received the reassurance that you are asking for.  As you point out, on one has ever acquired HIV through frottage.  You will not be the first.  If penetration occurred, you would know it.  I agree with your plan to continue with your life as normal.  There is no reason for concern and certainly no reason for testing.  EWH---

Thanks again for your time and response
I'm trying to understand how female to male transmission occurs to realize that I didn't had any possible exposure and. move on
Regarding this sentence:
The fluid a woman produces when sexually excited comes from the Bartholin's glands, this is a lubricating fluid and does not have any more hiv present than other bodily secretions such as saliva, sweat or tears.
It that sentence correct? The only contagious mucosa of a woman is the one near the cervix and for than reason you need like penetrate deep and some considerable time to be exposed? Even like this, with a positive woman the risk for the man is 0,04%?
You know here in Europe we are zero educated about this, so it very confusing and worrying for some of us
Doctor what about if during the massage you have like cream or lube in the penis? Would this kill the virus o be worse because it can slide a bit in during the massage?
I understand your point that I know how a penetration feels but during the body body massage you have some pleasure and this can trick you,
I didnt metion but this happened in Spain (despite some therapist were from Colombia, Venezuela Argentina) and they are not escorts that offer sex but I guess have its own personal life and dates
So for sure move one with my life, can be totally happy with this worry, and continue my sex life with my wife, I know and I want leave the body body massages
Thanks again

I am not sure where you heard that genital secretions come from the Bartholin's glands.  I cannot tell you of all of the sources of genital secretions but there not a single source and the source is irrelevant.  If a women has untreated HIV the virus is present in genital secretions however penetrative contact is required for HIV transmission.  There is no need to worry that frottage/body sliding without penetration will lead to infection with HIV.

There are a variety of different creams and lubricants used during massage.  Some would kill the virus.

You are worrying needlessly.  These "could it be" and "is it possible" questions serve no meaningful purpose.  It is also "possible" that you will be struck by meteorite falling from space while reading this but I presume that you understand that to worry about this serves no purpose.  You need move on with your life and move forward.

You have one follow-up remaining.  After that, no further questions on this topic will be accepted.  EWH

Yes, I totally understand what you are explaining and you are right.
And to finish doctor in the hypothetical case that I went to your clinic and commented that if there was a brief penetration during this massage let's say 5 seconds with the massage oil etc. and with the profile of erotic masseuse that I have told you what would be your advice?
It is not that I have lied to you about my encounters, it is just curiosity and education, I have read different answers on the internet, and as I said in Europe there is very little sex education about this by experts like you.
With this I know that the thread wil be closed, thanks again and I think I will continue with my normal life without going through the test although it is costing us to be parents (10 months) maybe we resort to insemination and there require tests of everything.

Gracias

Final reply.

If you were in my clinic, I would tell you that there is no medical or scientific need for testing but that testing is a personal choice.

I would also urge you to stay off the internet because much of what is there is inaccurate and incorrect and you have no way to know what is true and what is not.  Much of what is there is exaggerated, taken out of context, out of date or just plain wrong.

This completes this thread.  Take care.  Try to not worry.  EWH
