Sorry, I'm back again. I have had many negative HIV tests but I went to my PCP recently and he suggested I take another 4th gen test 90 days post expsoure. He mentioned since I do have immune deficiency there is a rare possiblity that it could take 3 months for my body to develop antibodies. What are your thoughts? Is this true? This has caused my anixety to come back and makes me think I need to test again.
All of my tests are below.
4th Gen 7 days - Negative
HIV RNA 10 days - Negative
HIV RNA 16 days - Negative
HIV RNA 20 days - Negative
4th Gen 27 days - Negative
Hiv RNA 27 Days -Negative
4th Gen 28 Days - Negative
4th Gen 32 Days - Negative
4th Gen 34 Days - Negative
HIV RNA 34 Days - Negative
4th Gen 45 Days - Negative

I debated whether to simply close your question without a response to to reply. I have opted to response because your PCP's advice is unwarranted and will only fuel your inappropriate anxiety. You have seriously over-tested and have proved (repeatedly)that you do not have HIV . Hydroxyurea would not impact your test results if you had been infected and your Multiple PCR and 4th generation tests, without question, PROVE that you have not been infected. You need to accept your results and stop testing. Further testing is a waste of time and resources. Further, I worry about your inability to accept that you are not infected. I suggest that you seek counseling to help you move forward. EWH---

Thanks for replying. I do have anixety and my PCP made it worse.
My final question - With all of my negative tests there is no way for me to test postive within the next few months or future without a new exposure?

Final response. After that the thread will be closed and future questions on this topic will be deleted without a response.
There is no way for you to test positive in the future unless you acquire a new infection. You DO NOT have HIV at this time and your results are conclusive. EWH
