One last question,

Welcome back. However, I reviewed your just completed discussion with Dr. Hook and don't think we can help much more.
"Is it likely I caught herpes from the previous encounter?" No, very unlikely -- especially since you have had no symptoms ("no blisters or symptoms...").
"Can vaginal thrush cause blisters?" Not likely. Interpreting skin changes in people with vaginal yeast infection requires professional evaluation. But if there are skin bumps that appear to be filled with clear fluid ("blisters"), yeast probably is unlikely.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
My parter had the positive test for Candida, apparently severe.
She has had blisters for the last three weeks and just had a swab test for herpes.
Are there non Sti causes of blisters??

Is it possible I have been asymptomatic

In racked with guilt and anxiety that I’ve passed something on to my partner from my stupid encounter.
Am I correct the herpes blisters rarely hang around for more than 2 weeks?

Or could Dr Hook be correct that is could be related to the amount of abstinence with my regular partner?

Herpes can be spread by oral sex, but not "easily". I'm sorry you are "racked with guilt and anxiety" but there is no scientific basis for such worry.
It is true that herpes lesions (blisters or others) usually do not last longer than two weeks.
I don't understand the last question.

Hi Dr, I hadn’t had sex prior to this with my regular partner for around 6 months, Dr Hook mentioned this could contribute to my partners symptoms.
Last question, are there non-sti reasons she could possibly have blisters? Stress or other illness
Thanks again

You are over-interpreting Dr. Hook's advice. "Could contribute" doesn't mean it did. The sexual exposure described in your previous thread was not the source of your partner's symptoms. Follow your partner's doctor's advice about the likely cause. We do not provide medical care; this forum is not a source to diagnose anything. Good luck to her.
That concludes this thread. Please note the forum policy against repeated questions. This being your second about your oral sex event and your partner's symptoms, it must be your last. Repeated questions may be deleted without reply and without refund of the posting fee. Thank you for your understanding. I do hope the two discussions have been helpful to you.
