[Question #13071] HIV AND CHICKEN POX

I have been visiting some massage parlours since last 3 months no sex involved 1 or 2 time just bj with condom on no blood involved from mouth and all and rest other time just handjob. Now last week i started having fever and two days later i started having pimples in my upper part of body and it started spreading quickly came on my face then my lower body and inside penis outside penis everywhere now i called emergency here in uk they checked me just physically no tests done and immediately said you have chicken pox. So my question is

1. Are chicken pox and hiv rash same??

2. Am i worrying too much on reddit i read that once the person was diagnosed with chicken pox just like this later he turned out to be hiv positive

I am so stressed please help

Welcome back to the Forum. A rash of any sort is a nonspecific finding. None of the activities you report for the past three months placed you at any risk for HIV. Thus:

1. See above

2. Reddit all too often is inappropriately alarmist and misleading. I would not be worried at all about HIV. If you are having trouble accepting this, you can test. If your rash were HIV, the test would be positive.

Hi again i feel very better now i the scrabs or rashes are going now slowly it was all over my body i went to gp here in uk they said its chicken pox.

I just to want to reassure or just confirm or just want to ask you

I didnt do sed in these time just handjob or bj one or 2 times witj condom on no rasher nearby area no blood involved or seen through the giver area or receiver area so according to your assesment is the Hiv test required or not and in this case have you ever seen any hiv patient. What shoul i do according to you??

The exposures you describe did not put you at risk for HIV. Receipt of masturbation or oral sex do not require testing for HIV. EWH ---
