[Question #13113] STI Concern After Low-Risk Exposure and Wife’s Symptoms

Dec 13, 2024, I briefly inserted a finger into a massage therapist’s underwear and touched her outer vulva — no fingering or penetration. I contacted a small amount of vaginal fluid and wiped it on her underwear; some may have remained. ~20 sec later, I may have used the same or opposite hand to masturbate.
Jan 19, 2025, I had unprotected sex with my wife. 9 days later, she had light spotting for 20+ days. A few days after bleeding started, yellow-green, foul-smelling discharge for 2 days. No pain, no itching, no normal period.
She was later diagnosed with endometrial polyp and BV (treated). Pap smear and HPV were normal. Endometrial thickening. Bleeding stopped the next day after taking tranexamic acid. The polyp detached with her next period after 28 days of Norcolut. On May 26, her last follow-up, no symptoms or inflammation.
My doctor said STI bacteria from a previous client might have been passed to me via unwashed hands. I tested negative for STI PCR and urine culture on Feb 19.
Wife and gynecologist are unaware of my exposure.
Could I have caught chlamydia, passed it to my wife, then naturally cleared it before testing? 2. Do her symptoms fit STI? 3. Can STI bleeding stop that fast? 4. Could she have an STI? 5. Should she get STI PCR?
