Hello doctors,
This is a question about the encounter I had nearly 15 weeks ago and tested negative for all STDs after 4 weeks following the event.
Around Friday a small red bump appeared on my shaft about the size of a pencil head. It has not grown or gone away since then. I have also had some pain and burning in the genital area since that time. No discharge or pain while urinating. Some pain after urinating. My question is:
Would any STI present itself in this manner this far from my described encounter?
How often do you see tests that are negative at 4 weeks turn positive at 6 or even 15 weeks later?
Would you recommend further testing due to these new symptoms?

Welcome back to the Forum. I'm sorry you continue to have trouble moving forward. The "red bump" you describe is unlikely to be an STI. For something to appear relatively suddenly is not suggestive of an STI. Are you sure that it appeared last week or perhaps is it something that you only came to notice at that time. There are hundreds of non-STI dermatological processes which could be causing this, My advice is to have a trained clinician, preferably a dermatologist take a look.
Tests which are negative at 4 weeks almost never turn positive at a later date.
I do not see a need for further testing. Rather, as mentioned above, I would have a trained clinician take a look. EWH

My main concerns were HSV and Syphilis. Is it accurate to say that this is not how they would present themselves if I was infected? I.e. after this much time has passed and in the way each looks.

The lesion you describe doesn’t suggest either HSV or syphilis and occurred long after what would be expected for these diseases. Again, I suggest you see a dermatologist. EWH---

Are symptoms such as sharp random stinging sensations in the penis indicative of any STI? Random pain throughout the day? I was pretty much over this whole ordeal and then these “symptoms” arose about 5 days ago and have been intermittent and now it’s all I think about. Couple that with the new “bump” and it had me worried. Thank you for your input.

Sigh. As I've said before, STI symptoms do not come and go (and thus do not occur "randomly") You are worrying needlessly.
This response completes this thread. I hope you will move forward from here. There should be no need to return with further questions related ot the encounters you described. EWH
