[Question #13143] Fingers in mouth after being in vagina

Hi doctors,

I went to a massage the other day and the female fingered herself and then put her fingers in my mouth afterwards. Is there any stds that I should be concerned about?

Even if your partner had an STI, this was a no risk event. No STIs are transmitted through transfer of genital secretions from person to person on someone’s hands. There is a reason for concern or for testing related to the event you describe. EWH

I developed a sore throat yesterday 6 days after, is there any way this could be a result of the event? I know you said no risk, just thought I’d ask.

Your sore throat is unrelated to the activities that you described. STIs are not transmitted through transfer of infection from one person's genitals to another person in contaminated fingers or hands. no need for concern or testing. Your sore throat is due to something else. I hope you'll be feeling better soon.
