Hello doctors.First of all I do apologize english is not my first language. I made a stupid mistake and I visited to a strip club for my friend bachelor party. It was a fully nude club. A dancer approached me and She asked if I would you like to have a dance. I declined.then she asked me to at least be her company and  have couple drinks with her.She then seated on my lap and asked me for a neck massage. After like a minute, she was like oops I need to go to restroom and will be right back. When she came back ,she said sorry its close to my period and i felt something in my vagina and had to check it .After like 30 min ,as soon as she left, I noticed that the front of my pants are little bit wet. Immediately i checked my underwear and the front side my underwear was also slightly wet. I freaked out because she was fully nude when she was on my lap and it was close to her period as well.
Obviously , her vaginal secretions or maybe period blood passed through my pants and underwear and touched my penis head, can this transfer hiv?  Appreciate it

Welcome to the forum. Your English is fine -- or perhaps you have a good translation program.

You are at little or no risk for HIV or other STIs from the events described. First, most female sex workers -- including exotic dancers -- do not have HIV, so probably your strip club partner is not infected. But most important, HIV and other STI bacteria and viruses cannot pass through fabric. And it seems obvious you were not exposed to her blood -- it would have been visible on your clothing. And anyway, blood has no more HIV than vaginal fluids.

Nobody ever catches HIV sexually except through intercourse:  with no penile penetration, there is no risk. In addition, in the 21 years of this and our preceding forum, with thousands of questions from persons worried about HIV, nobody has yet tested positive. You will not be the first. If it finally happens, surely it will be from a truly high risk exposure (like unprotected anal sex between two men) and not a zero risk event like yours.

You should not be tested for HIV or anything else on account of this event. If you have a regular partners, you can safely continue your usual sexual practices without putting her (or him) at risk.

I hope these comments are helpful. Let me know if anything isn't clear. Best wishes and stay safe.

Thank you dr for your answer
Just have one more question for you, my pants and underwear were black and definitely I can see a large stain close about 3 inches on both.
In the worst case , if it was blood envolved, am I still safe and can move on?

Thanks for the clarification. I can understand how black underwear could make it harder to determine if the moisture was blood or not. But it doesn't matter. The amount of HIV is no higher in blood than in vaginal fluids -- i.e. blood exposure during sex is no more risky than without blood. For example, sex with an HIV infected woman who is menstruating it no more risky than with a woman not on her period. And as I said above, not enough virus can pass through fabric to allow infection to take hold.---

Really appreciate doctor handsfield. Since english is not my first language just want to confirm. So even if blood is involved,no risk for hiv  because virus cant pass through fibric and no penetration happened ,
Thank you for the website to allow me to ask one last question

"So even if blood is involved, no risk for hiv  because virus cant pass through fabric and no penetration happened."  Exactly right:  I'm glad you understand!

That completes the two follow-up comments and replies included with each question and so ends this thread. I hope the discussion has been helpful. Best wishes and stay safe.
