[Question #13221] Slightly large size condom and risk of HIV/ STDs

Hello Doctor,
Last night I had an encounter with an escort where she provided a protected bj and vaginal sex. When I ejeculated , I felt that the condom near base of my shaft was a bit lose, even though I remember It was pretty intact and covered my entire penis throughout. Also when I removed it, I checked by filling water and it was perfectly fine.
Also I kissed her on lips.
Do I need to get tested for any STD/STI/HIV?
My second question is I have been involved in penetrative vaginal sex with quite a few escorts/ massage providers in last 7 months. But it was always protected sex and oral including kissing on lips and sometimes tounge kissing.. And every time I had checked and confirmed condom never broke or leaked.
Should I be worried for any STD/HIV?
Before involving with my partner in sexual relations, do I need to get tested?
Considering my last encounter was just last night, if you suggest any testing, what timelines should I be following for any tests? Thanks a lot.

Welcome back to the Forum. Thanks for your continuing confidence in our service. These questions are very similar to the questions I responded to for you about six months. At that time I said:
1. Most people, even most commercial sex workers do not have STIs.
2. When people have STIs, infections are at genital sites. Oral infections are less common making receipt of oral sex low risk
3. Most exposures to infected partners do not result in transmission.
4. When worn throughout an encounter and they do not break, condoms provide virtually complete protection from most STIs
I will add:
-kissing, even deep kissing does not change the close to no risk nature of the encounter.
-that as long as the tip of your penis is covered, the condom does its job and provided protection
-that I see no scientific need for testing although some clients choose to test for the added confidence/reassurance that negative tests provide
-that if you chose to test, a urine test for gonorrhea and chlamydia will provide conclusive results 4-5 days after your encounter while testing for syphilis and HIIV using a 4th generation test will not be conclusive until 6 weeks after the encounter
-as a result I see no reason for you to avoid unprotected sex with your regular partner.
I hope that this information is helpful. EWH
