[Question #13259] Condom Oral

Hello I didn’t plan on coming back to this forum but I kind of made a stupid impulsive mistake and wanted to know where I stand. On july 19th some days after I tested negative to all STDs I got a blowjob with a condom on from prostitute. Tonight I had unprotected sex with the same girl from my last thread. I thought wearing a condom would make it really safe but now im feeling really anxious its not. Am I at risk of getting an std from getting a blowjob with a condom on?

Welcome back to the Forum. Today I happened to get your question. In preparing to respond, I reviewed your earlier interaction with Dr. Handsfield and agree with all he said. As mentioned in your earlier interaction, the only STIs you are at risk from at your recent receipt of oral sex are Gonorrhea, non-chlamydial, NGU, HSV-1, and syphilis. The likelihood that you got any of these is quite small, and that your BJ was condom protected makes the risk that you were infected virtually zero. Thus I suggest that you have nothing to worry about and that there is no risk to your FWB. I would not worry and see no need for testing. EWH---

Ok so not to sound stupid but what would the odds be of getting each STI from protected oral sex?

There are no scientific data to help answer that question. Many variables affect the likelihood of becoming infected. As a generalization, however the risk is certainly less than one percent for each and in the case of her piece and Syphilis probably a small fraction of less than one percent. I cannot provide a more specific answer. I will emphasize once again that I think you are worrying far more than you need to.
One follow up remaining. EWH.

I remembered I still had a question left so I’m frustratingly here once again. I impulsively spend $200 to get unprotected oral sex from a nee sex worker last Friday (August 15th) and now today August 21st around 10:30-11:17PM had unprotected sex with my fwb where I pulled out while I felt close to climaxing and ultimately didn’t finish. Did I put her at significant risk of hiv or any other std and should I get tested?

If I got an RNA HIV test on Tuesday the 26th which would be 11 days after the 15th and got a negative test would it confirm im in the clear?

As you know, these will be my final responses to your questions.
1. It is statistically unlikely that your partner had an STI, but even if they did, with condom protection your risk for acquiring an STI would be virtually zero. Your FWB was not at risk.
2. No one has ever been proven to acquire HIV from receipt of oral sex. Thus your receipt of condom protected oral sex was a no risk event for HIV. HIVRNAPCR tests are conclusive anytime more than 11 days following an exposure. Thus, a negative HIVRNAPCR test anytime beyond August 26 would prove that you did not acquire HIV From the no risk encounter that you described.
This thread is now complete. EWH.
