you told me earlier that skin to skin made infections if happened just externally, i only had one protected sex in my life , and even skin to skin was not on vulva. is that normal?
2. 8 months passed, is potential for genital warts become almost zero? how can i differentiate warts from skin tags? is skin tags common on penis shaft, i had them based on biopsy. they were in CM2 not califolawr, no itching or bleeding or pain never , i see different opinions
3. you told me that within 2 years for most it will gone forever, but you answer other it is for life dormant, what to believe? .
4. i did 7 pcr test after 2-6 months of that exposure external swaps different labs different countries , DNA, hybridization and MRNA E6/E7 , RT and nested PCR all neg, is that enough to role out infection?

Greetings. Welcome back .

I reviewed your previous discussion with Dr. Hookand agree with all his advice. My first comment is that you are way over concerned about HPV. Getting and having genital HPV is entirely normal -- it happens to almost everyone and is to be expected for everyone who has a sexual life. Whether you have or someday will acquire genital HPV will make little difference to your health. Second, HPV testing is NOT recommended; and negative results do not mean you do are not infected. Depending on your past sexual lifestyle, you might still have HPV. I would interpret your test results as meaning 1) you have had HPV type 45; 2) you might still have it; 3) you might have other HPV infections as well. The HPV tests you had were designed to be used in women having Pap smears, not not to test men or women to know if they are infected.

You can prevent future HPV infections by being vaccinated against HPV, which will prevent infection with the 9 HPV types that cause most cancers and genital warts.

1. Skin to skin HPV transmission (without sex) might occur but they are rare.

2. The vast majority of HPV infections do not cause visible warts. Probably you will never have warts. It's good you have not seen warts after 8 months, but warts can show up years after exposure.

3. HPV DNA may persist for life, but it isn't known how often this happens. It is true that after two years the chance is reduced and the likelihood of transmission to new sex partners is low.

4. See above. All these negative results make it unlikely you have genital HPV, but there is still a small chance. I'm sorry it is not possible to be certain. But almost certainly you will never have a significant health problem from HPV and will not transmit HPV to any future sex partner.

Please note the forum does not permit more than one username and account. In the future, use one account or the other, but not both; and do not start a new account with a different username. Thank you for your understanding.

i had some errors when i tried to login using my old account,
i have specific concern, when studies found hpv in semen in general , is that mean unprotected sex specifically which is something i did not do never in my life? you said true sex is required normally, which i did once and it was protected, what i had mainly is skin to skin contact only so if i expect something it will be externally only? for warts you said earlier if it not shown within 6 months or 3 it mainlly you will not see it how i can understand diff results? for hpv pcr test it is used in studies for long years for men so why we can not generalise it? i had biopsy on suspected lesions and did swap test different time, as i understand if it was wart test will be pos but it was neg and even swap, my main concern is that answers is different each times. but again what actions that transmit hpv internally into semen ? another lab who know how lab A work, told me that there way bring positive results falsely, i did internal swap same day using Nested PCR and RT pcr and lamp naat and it was neg. what is the main bahavior for warts normally reagrding appearance and spreading in area and size? what is the main behaviour for warts regarding appearance colour spreading and size by time?

I'm sorry, but there are no clear answer to any of these questions and I cannot explain your apparent HPV infection on a single test. Most likely your single positive test for HPV 45 was false, i.e you never were infected and do not have HPV now. This is one of the reasons HPV testing should not be done in persons not at risk:  the risk of a false results. You should never have been tested and should not have any further tests by any laboratory. Probably you do not have it and can participate in any and all sexual practices in the future without risk of infecting your partner(s). You can safely assume you will never have genital warts, unless you are infected in the future with HPV type 6 or 11. Since you are so worried about HPV, I would advise you be vaccinated to prevent infection with the 9 types of HPV that cause 90% of warts and other health problem.

Finally, as I said above, even if you have HPV or catch it in the future, it probably would never cause an important health problem I also advise that you never be tested again for HPV, from any site of your body.

I'm afraid this forum cannot help you further. There simply are no clear answers to any of these questions.

thanks for you response, i tried to use logic, my only protected exposure lasted for min i do not remeber skin to skin touch this min, i found lesion next day it was fibro polyps, for sure genital warts will not appear in a day, other exposure was skin to skin and it was far from vulva, only with pubic area and butock, on internet mention that you can be exposed outside the covered area, i confused that the only pos sample came from semen, even not urethra, you said earliaer that skin to skin made infection where touch happen, my urethra open was always far from this. is there any studies about males who infected in urethra or semen? how science assume clearing happened for most if no data support that? i can not understand why testing is not recommended but also widely available even in EU for example, iam not afraid for my self i afraid to be contagious for others.

You clearly misunderstand my replies and Dr. Hook's. Almost certainly you do not have HPV and never did; the positive test was false. You also were at little or no risk. Therefore worrying about how you caught HPV is irrelevant. I suggest you seek professional counseling to learn why you are having such difficulty in understanding all this; and why it is so important to you.

You are wrong that there are "no data" to support clearing of HPV by the immune system. That HPV testing is "widely available" is unrelated to how often the tests are offered by laboratories seeking payment for the tests.

That concludes this thread. Please note the forum policy against repeated questions on the same topic. This being your second on your HPV testing and fears, it must be your last. Repetitive questions are deleted without reply and without refund of the posting fee. The forum sponsor doesn't want repeated payment for questions already answered (or whose answers are obvious from previous discussions) and repeated answers tend to prolong rather than relieve anxiety. In addition, such questions have reduced educational value for other users, one of the forum's goals. Thank you for your understanding.
