[Question #13313] Vitamins/Supplements effect on hiv test(again)

I received a negative hospital Lab hiv combo test 30 days, and another negative test 8 weeks after my last sexual encounter( i took prep on demand, 2 pills the day of the encounter, and then 1-1-1 for 3 days after.) I wanted to be sure that none of the supplements, vitamins, and meds i take can interfere with the test accuracy. Everything i have possibly taken is Zinc, black seed oil, turmeric curcumin, vitamin C, N-acetyl cysteine, vitamin D3, Quercetin, vitamin k2, Niacin, Berberine, Omeprazole, famotadine, benadryl, lorazepam, loratadine, and a sublingual b complex containing vit b-2, vit b-6, vit b-12, and pantothenic acid. I have also used povidone iodine nasal spray on occasion. Also, Quercetin is a zinc ionophore, and has anti viral properties. Can this do anything to effect the testing? Do any of these supplements effect my results? I have also read about the biotin on here, and the doctors seem to say that is overblown and these tests are among the most accurate in the world. I am trying to put this whole thing to bed, but keep thinking of what if's. Should i be 100% confident in my two negative tests? Thank you.

Welcome back to the Forum although I’m sorry you felt the need. I appreciate your reviewing other threads to inform yourself regarding the non-issue of biotin supplements. The data on other supplements and medications is summarized in some of those threads. There are no data to suggest that other than medications designed for HIV therapy, interfere with the reliability of current 4th generation tests for HIV. Once again, your test results PROVE that you were not infected by the past encounters we discussed. There is no reason for further test. It’s time to put your concerns aside and move forward. EWH---
