[Question #13377] Advice please

80 days ago I had an encounter with a CSW. She masturbated me and spat saliva on my penis.
I was extremely intoxicated at the time. I don’t believe anything else happened. No penetration and I can’t recall any genitals touching.
Due to my paranoia I felt the need to test. I tested negative for gonorrhea and chlamydia at 14 days from a home urine test posted to a lab and received the negative results 48hrs later.
I tested negative for syphilis at 6.5 weeks and 9.5 weeks from a finger prick blood test.
At 75 days I developed a fever, cold and cough symptoms with fatigue and sore throat, runny nose etc which I still have, no rash.
At 80 days I developed a spot at the base of my penis. A singular red spot that doesn’t look like a blister.
My questions are:
1 - should I test for anything else or repeat a test
2- at 80 days is it late for any symptoms to show and would they have occurred by now
3- could the fever, cold lesion be herpes.
I have had no pain on urination or discharge and have paid close attention to my genital area since the encounter.
Thank you.

Welcome to the forum. Thank you for your confidence in our services.

Initial response after reading only the first line of your question:  There is no STI risk from hand-genital contact ("she masturbated me"), even if saliva is used for lubrication (saliva rarely if ever transmits any STI). So unless there's a surprise in the details, it's a fair bet you are at no risk.

Now I have read the rest. Guess what? Your syphilis blood tests are conclusive. Your symptoms do not fit with any STI, including HIV; and they started much too late to have anything to do with the sexual event. Apart from the "red spot" (which doesn't sound abnormal), your symptoms clearly are those of a garden variety respiratory infection. In other words, the exposure itself was zero risk and nothing in the remaining information you provide raises any concern about HIV or other STI.

Those comments cover your specific questions, but to assure no misunderstanding:

1. No further testing is needed.
2. Yes, 80 days is much oo late.
3. A "singular red spot" doesn't suggest herpes, and it and the fever are much too late to be from newly acquired HSV.

I hope these comments are helpful. Let me know if anything isn't clear.
